Chapter 3

Once they pulled onto the road the small bumps from the gravell stopped.

Marcus's head and nose still hurt from being around so many Alphas at once but they felt a lot better now that there was flowing wind around him.

"It is about a ten minute from here to the house where everyone but us two will get out." Damon said as he took in how adorable Marcus looked right now.

His short light brown hair blowing in the wind, his sky blue eyes shining in the sunlight, his oversized red hoodie ruffling from the wind. He looked adorable.

"That's fine." Marcus said with a small smile as he moved so his knees were tucked into the hoodie making himself into a little ball.

The wind was nice but it was also quite cold. Of course Marcus wasn't going to tell Damon this because he thought he was already a big enough bother.

"Are you cold?" Damon asked assuming that's why Marcus had curled into a ball.

"No?" Marcus replied as he moved his gaze to meet Damon's.

Before Damon could reply Flura yelled "Pothole up ahead! Get ready!"

A few seconds later they hit the pothole and because of Marcus's light weight he flew up some and nearly fell out of the truck because his legs were still tucked in the hoodie.

Damon grabbed one of Marcus's arms and pulled him into his chest.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he made sure that they wouldn't move too much.

"Y-yeah I am. Thank you." Marcus stuttered out as he forced himself not to lean into Damon's embrace.

"Are you two okay back there?" Flura asked as she glanced at the two in the rear view mirror.

"Yeah we are fine." Damon called back as he moved them so they were sitting down on the lowest part of the truck bed.

"That's good." She said before turning all of her focus back onto the road.

"You know you can relax, I don't bite." Damon muttered to Marcus before adding "Unless you want me to." With a smirk.

Marcus's face flushed red as he moved his gaze to the trees that flew by.

"I...um...no thanks." Marcus muttered getting a chuckle from the Alpha.

"I'm just teasing you, you can relax though. You seem tense." Damon said as he sent off calming pheromones.

This wouldn't always work for most random Alphas and Betas or Omegas but Damon knew that Marcus was his mate. Even if Marcus didn't know yet.

The pheromones surrounded Marcus and he almost instantly relaxed against Damon's chest.

Damon smiled at this and wrapped his arms around Marcus's torso so he wouldn't move too much.

After a while Marcus started to fall asleep when they suddenly stopped moving.

Thinking that they were only at a stoplight he didn't move but when he heard the doors of the truck open.

"If you aren't back in two hours and you haven't texted me as to why then I am coming to find you." Flura said as everyone got out of the truck and headed inside of their massive house.

Marcus moved so he was off of Damon's chest and looked around.

The house that they were going into was what he assumed to be their pack house was huge!

His eyes widened at the sight of the house but was quickly snapped out of his shock when Damon got out of the truckbed and turned to help him down as well.

"Sounds good to me Flura. You guys be safe too." Damon said as he held his hand out for Marcus to use as support as he jumped down.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah whatever. See you later!" She yelled back before disappearing into the house.

Damon moved to the passenger seat and opened the door for Marcus.

"There you are sir." He said in a fake posh accent.

"Why thank you kind sir." Marcus replied going along with it making them both smile.

Damon then moved to the driver's seat and got into the truck.

The truck smelled largely of Alpha and it was giving Marcus a headache but he didn't say anything.

After a while it was starting to really hurt his head so he asked "Could we maybe roll the windows down?"

"Hmm? Oh yeah sure." Damon said before rolling down both his and Marcus's windows.

Another few minutes went by, the only noise being the sounds outside the window.

"So would you like to turn on some music?" Damon asked as he glanced over to Marcus before looking back at the road.

"Sure, what type of music do you like?" Marcus replied as he closed Pintrest and went onto his Spotify.

"I like anything exsept for Country and mumble-rap. I know a lot of country songs but I don't vibe with them if you know what I mean." Damon replied as he rolled his window up a little bit considering the wind was getting quite cold.

"How about musicals? Also you can roll the windows up fully if you want. It's gotten a bit cold." Marcus said as he rolled his own window up.

The smell of all the Alphas was mostly gone now so he was fine.

"I am a total theater geek so I love musicals." Damon replied with a smile as he rolled his own window up.

"Really? Same!" Marcus said with a smile as he hit shuffle play on his "Its a Musical🎶" Playlist.

The first song to come on was "Candy Store" from Heathers.

They both sang along, Marcus shy at first before relaxing more and soon singing confidently.

After that song had ended "Aaron Burr, Sir" from Hamilton started to play making Marcus quickly paused it.

"Do you want to be Hamilton or Burr?" He asked while turning to look at Damon.

"Whoever you don't want to be." Was Damon's responce getting a nod from Marcus.

"Then your Hamilton." He said with a grin right before he unpaused the song.

The two sang along, Marcus also singing along for Lafayette and Lauren's while Damon sang along for Mulligan.

Song after song they sang along, Marcus occasionally pausing the song before it started to ask who Damon wanted to sing along with.

Soon enough they had enough time for one more song before they reached Marcus's house. Well thats what the GPS told them at least.

The last song that came on was "Say No To This" from Hamilton...
