Last night was a long one, and me, I didn't get sleep at all. I wasn't disturbed by what happened, no, the cause was because I had to take care of his motorbike. Which I had dropped off in a lake.
I had went through his phone again, found out that he was staying at a motel, which I decided to leave until the morning.
As for the car, I put the keys right back into Amelia's room and told her to take care of the car for him.
As for me, I'm currently walking. After dumping his motorbike I had to walk all the way back home. Maybe I should invest in a truck.
I walked down, gazing at the morning sun. As I got closer and closer to my house I noticed the Sheriff's car and a hysteric Amelia.
"I'm telling you everything that happened! Why won't you believe me?" She cries. Then her eyes set of me.
"There he is!" She points, having the Sheriff turn to me. His light blue eyes examined me and I waved with a small smile.
He assured her and walked down the path towards me. Don't panic, Eddy, he knows nothing.
"Sir, I'm Sheriff Tom and I would like to ask you a few questions pertaining to," he stops, glancing back at Amelia before looking back at me. "Her." He motions his head.
"Umm, of course, want to go inside? I just got from the hospital and I feel a bit woozy."
"Of course."
I sent her a look and she glared at me. I opened the door and the questions began.
"Do you usually leave your door open at night?" I grinned and took my shoes off at the door. He didn't bother doing the same which ticked me off since he's tracking dirt inside.
I just cleaned this place last night.
"Well sir, it's Siville, and nobody lives around here except for me. Well my neighbour too but I don't think she's capable of anything."
"Right."
I went to the kitchen and grabbed a peach, joining him at the table. Not like I asked him to have a seat, but please Sheriff, make yourself at home.
"Well sir, what do I owe the visit?" I joke. He wasn't bying into the charm I tend to have on most people. Probably becsuse he looks like he'd rather be at home sleeping than working.
"Your neighbor seems terrified of you." Hearing that made me frown. Terrified? "She claims that you were in her house last night and...killed a close friend of hers."
"Really?"
"Yes, however there's no sign of blood or anything of the sort. Except for the car he rented out front." He mutters.
"So, if," I exhaled. "Okay, the reason why you're here is because I supposedly killed her friend?"
"That's right."
"And there's no evidence of this?"
"Apparently yes."
"Well I don't see how any of that makes sense."
"Well yes, I'm trying to wrap my head around it myself."
"Well sir, anything else?"
"Tell me more about you and Amelia."
"I thought this was about her friend."
"You're right. What do you know about him?"
"Only that they dated and that he abused her when they were together."
