An Unusual Time at Ninjago High School

The First Day

Melody POV

I stared at my new school in awe. I knew that it was going to be big, but not THAT big. Ninjago High School was an enormous high school and there were lots of students outside. Man, it will sure be easy to meet new friends! 

I was about to walk towards the entrance to my new school when I heard a screech. I turned around and saw that a school bus had pulled up.

 A lot of students walked out of it. The last one to exit was a boy with blond hair and green eyes. I saw that the driver was staring at him, and closed the door the second he steps off. As soon as he does, all the students stopped talking to their friends and stared at him in silence. As he walks past all the students including me, they start to whisper at each other. 

"That's the kid I was telling you about," I heard a boy say to a girl. "His dad ruins everything." What's going on? I decided to talk to the boy during lunch. Right now, I needed to get to class.

As soon as I step into the school, I headed straight for the principal's office. I needed to know where my room was and where my locker was. 

I knocked on the door, and a voice from inside said, "Come in," I walked inside and saw a bunch of shelves and files. There was a desk in the middle, and a man was sitting behind it. 

"Oh, you're that new student in our school, right?" He asked me. 

"Yes," I replied. "And you're the principal of the school?"

"Thats me," The principal replied. Then he pulled out a sheet of paper and began to read it. "So, it's Melody, right?" He asked. I nodded.

"You're in room 22," He told me. "And your locker is Locker 45." He then gave me another piece of paper. "This is your schedule," He explained. "So you have maths first." 

"Thanks!" I replied. I left the office and walked to Locker 45. I open the locker door and put my bag inside. Then I took out my stationary and one of my workbooks. I used a pen to label it as Maths Book, then closed my locker and headed to Room 22 with my book and stationary.

As son as I entered the room, I saw that all the seats were occupied, except for 1. I thought that was mine so I sat down and placed my stuff on the desk. I look around at my new classmates, and one of them looked familiar. Then it hit me.

That classmate was that same boy with the blond hair that I saw earlier! I was in the same class as him!

The bell rang for the start of class, and a female teacher with glasses walked inside the room. She stood at the front of the room.

 "Good Morning, class!" She said. "Theres not much announcements in homeroom. We have a new student in our school. This is Melody. She will be joining us, so make sure you make her feel welcome!" 

All my classmates looked at me. I waved at them, and some of them waved at me. Then they turned back and stared at the boy with the blond hair. 'Something was off about that kid,' I thought. 

Maths started, and we learnt this thing called Trigonometry. Our teacher was explaining some example of it when we heard a loud crash. We all turned to the window in our room and saw a giant mech shaped like a shark attacking the city our school was in with an army in weird looking outfits.

"Uh oh!" Our teacher exclaimed. "Its Garmadon!" All my classmates turned to look at the boy with the blond hair. "Thanks, Lloyd," They all groaned at him. 

"You know what to do!" Our teacher told us. "Duck and cover!" I had no idea what that is, but I saw that all my classmates but 6, including the boy with the blond hair, went under their desks. 

"Can I have a bathroom pass?" They all asked at the same time. 

"You mean, 'May I'. 'May I have a bathroom pass?'" The teacher correct them, also went under her desk. "You know, just do whatever you want." All six of them ran out of the room. I don't know why they want to go to the bathroom at this time, but I also went under my desk.

After a while, I heard loud cheering. I looked out the window and saw 6 large mechs fighting the army that was attacking the city. "The secret ninjas are here!" One of my classmates yelled. Secret ninjas? 

The battle was so fierce that it also destroyed half of our school in the process. When it ended, the army in the weird looking outfits and the shark-like mech left, and our city was in ruins. 

I saw the driver in the green mech that was shaped like a dragon. He was a ninja in green suit, and was glaring at the shark mech. I wonder why. 

Then I decided. That was it. I need answers to my questions. To do so means that I may have to follow the mechs.
