𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐉𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐘 𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 was born October 9th, 1984. Her mother, Lorelai Gilmore, had given birth to her twin sister, Lorelai Gilmore, aka Rory, on October 8th, 1989. It may have been foreshadowing that it took so long for Marjorie to be born. Lorelai liked to say that she was actively fighting coming into the world for some reason she had yet to figure out.
Lorelai made a joke about how Marjorie came out screaming like an opera singer and cried similarly days afterward as it remained her how she used to mimic a certain opera singer on the television, effectively angering her mother every time she did it.
Therefore, Majorie Gilmore was named after Majorie Finlay.
Majorie wasn't sure how she and her family ended up in Stars Hollow. It was a quaint little town with major quirks such as the dictating grocery owner, the out of pocket yet glamorous dance teacher, a grumpy diner owner and his troublemaking son, and a renowned "Kirk". It had only been a good five to six years since they had arrived at the little town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
