MAY 13TH, 1998 - SEATTLE, WA.

Ophelia Marianna Iver was born to John and Angeline Iver in the early morning of mid-May. The second daughter and now youngest child of the Iver family came into the world peacefully, a direct opposite of what the child would cause.

The oldest of the Iver family, Charlotte, did not want another sibling. She was only seven years old, and she already had two. Yet the moment she met the new baby, Lottie promised to be the best big sister to Ophelia. But a child's promise is nothing short of a lie. Lottie has since resented her parents for giving her more siblings.

Lottie was known for being ambitious. One to want to run and grab anything she could. She wanted anything and everything she could achieve in life. She knew her siblings or even her parents would not have the same ambitions as her. So she pushed them out, she labelled herself as an outlier and blamed her parents for their lack of initiative. To put it plainly, Lottie even at seven years old, loved to play the victim. A mindset she would not grow out of for a while. One that would affect her family relationships for almost the next two decades.

The next in line, is Elliot Iver. Known as Eli by the family, was nothing short of a disappointment in his parent's eyes. Or at least that is what he believed his whole life, all five years. Born hard of hearing, Eli tried to get by but as he grew his hearing got worse. His parents would nickname him the baby of the family. Due to his small like nature, and the tendency of breaking out into tears. This made his parents resent the child and Eli would believe he became the problem. Mostly due to the fact shortly after Eli turned four, his parents decided to adopt a boy Eli's age. Ever since Eli has not only resented his parents but his new brother as well.

Eli knew he would not be like his father. He would not be a businessman, a man who wanted to earn money and then spend it. Eli even at five years old, loved the simple things in life. He loved cars. He loved going to the mechanics with his father and watching the employee's work. Eli loved his family; he would love his family until there was only one member left. But his love would not have any effect on the Iver family in the end.

Timothy Iver was born in San Francisco, California. He has no memories and will die with none of his birth parents. Timothy, at five years old, is well aware that his other siblings do not like him. Timothy resents his adoptive parents for picking him up. Timothy would resent a lot of things during his life. He would resent his siblings for the way they treated him, he would resent Ophelia for being nice to him, and he would resent himself in general.

Timothy would be influenced by anybody and everybody. What they said, what they did. He would take it all to heart. He would let everybody pile their anger and resentment onto him. Ultimately it would be his demise, the way he let people walk over him. Timothy would not have a single thing that was truly his own. He would never own a piece of his soul.

John Iver did not want a family. He wanted money. He wanted to go out drinking every night. He wanted to fuck different women; he didn't want to have a wife. But the one-night stand he had led to a pregnancy and religious persuasion into matrimony. He didn't want a daughter, he didn't want a child in general. So he automatically resented Lottie. Eli was a hope, but he turned out to be fucked up the moment he left his mother's womb. Timothy wasn't even blood related.

After seven years, of screams and dead dreams. John gave in. He had one last chance. Ophelia. His one and true child, his daughter. John's open resentment would soon lead to a whirlwind of other problems. Ones that would only cause trouble until the end of his life.

Angeline Iver was told her whole life, from when she was a little girl to being an adult, that her only purpose was to have children and raise a family. Her parents were extremely old-fashioned and believed in old values. And God. God was Angeline's saving grace. She hoped that her children would be raised the same way she was. Then her life would be truly perfect.
