Chapter 10: The Framed Lion

While Y/N and his pride were "negotiating" with the female panther, Farfan & Esther made their way to the mess hall.

FARFAN: Listen carefully. We'll hide among the garbage and wait until they haul us up.

ESTHER: That's if they don't eat us first.

Dagnino and his carnivore companions (minus Panthy) were sitting near a table as Cachito was watching the two disguised humans,

CACHITO: It's the grasswhoppers again.

DAGNINO: I told you they have to eat sooner or later.

Farnan and Esther quietly made their way to a big cauldron.

FARFAN: Nobody will be able to find us in here.

Farfan pushes Esther inside the cauldron with him entering with her.

ESTHER: Are you sure they'll carry us up to the deck?

FARFAN: Just be patient.

Suddenly everything went dark.

ESTHER: Who turns out the light?

A male polar bear closes the top off with a lid as a female skunk carrying a bowl of vegetable soup passes him.

FEMALE SKUNK: Hurry up with the soup, bear.

The polar bear moves the cauldron to a massive open brick stove and turns it on.

ESTHER: Don't you think the water is getting rather hot?

After cooking the soup, the male polar bear puts the cauldron on a utility cart and pushes it toward the mess hall.

MALE POLAR BEAR: Does anyone want another helping?

Everybody raised their hands.

The male polar bear turned the handle that was connected at the bottom of the cauldron and the soup came pouring out until a bowl was filled and the male polar bear handed the bowl to the hungry animals. He repeated the process until the soup came to a halt. The polar bear bangs the top of the cauldron, trying to continue the process of filling the bowl with vegetable soup, but with no prevail. The other animals look to see why the cauldron stopped producing soup as the male polar bear opens the lid. As soon as the cauldron was open, Farfan and Esther shot out of it, screaming, and landed in the middle of the mess hall.

The other animals gasp and begin to vomit knowing that the soup has been contaminated as Farfan and Esther made their way out of the mess hall.

DAGNINO (TO CACHITO): You'd better follow them. I wouldn't want anything to happen to them before we kill them.

Cachito follows Farfan and Esther.

FARFAN: This costume is shrinking.

ESTHER: Must be because it got wet.

Cachito continues following them.

CACHITO: Hmmm. There they are.

Farfan and Esther notice Cachito was following them as they try their best to hide from him.

FARFAN: I think they realized what we are.

Suddenly a dumbwaiter appeared to be moving down as Cachito made his way to them.

ESTHER: Do you think that clumsy animal knows that we are two miserable, unscrupulous people with no principles? Are hearts corroded by greed?

FARFAN: No, but I don't want to be here when he does!

Farnfan And Ester successfully entered the dumbwaiter as it was now inaccessible to the male puma.

Meanwhile, Xiro was in Bombay's room discussing with the orangutan what had recently transpired.
