He who founds love founds a beautiful thing and peace of heart. I thought of that, maybe my life could be better if I got myself someone to love and be loved. I was getting more older each day, a 28 years old with no lover nor girlfriends. My mum tried getting me a girl after doubting my sexuality, of course I was straight but not a play boy as many could think in my country. Having a brown skin colour as a man in my country meant attracting more women. God decided to bless me with the height which was a good thing as a man, guess I'll make good babies for basketball. Unfortunately i don't even have the woman to make me have kids of my height.

Thinking of her, she was 5"8 and half of I could guess it right. Dark chocolate was her skin colour, her body petite just the size I wanted for a life partner. Her eyes was something I wanted to see but she avoided it. I wanted to make her smile but gosh, she didn't even bother to look at me or talk more with me. A girl that is making my heart skip a little. My eyes aches to see her. I wonder where she maybe.

I had waited for her to return, I wanted to see my neighbor. The girl next door, my neighbor. I wonder if she was safe or she lost her way back. Legacy wasn't a place for one to get lost especially for a smart person like her.

My ears were all outside waiting for that sound of door opening, but my wait was cut short when I fell asleep on my couch. The sound of my phone buzzing. Who decided to wake me up this early. It was none other than Jack.

"Hey my boy, how are you?"

"I'm fine, why this early?"

"Sorry for waking you up".

"It's fine".

"Will you be around today or you'll be going to Ngong?"

"I'm around and I've missed you so much Jack, please come and keep me company, I have a surprise for you by the way".

"A surprise for me?"

"Yes my guy".

"Don't tell me you've bought me flower, I told you I'm straight man".

"I'm straight too, just come to my place and I'll show you the surprise."

I hung up the call before he couldn't say anything more. I had to cook something for us, my mum would definitely pay me a visit today. Is either I go to see her and my father every weekend or she comes to my place to discuss family and business matters.

I had to clean my house and arrange it somehow it a nice way. I had to clean my body to smell good as the day is. I had finished my cooking when I heard a knock at my door. It was definitely Jack or my mom. I opened the door and saw Jack smiling. I greeted him as I welcomed him inside the house.

"Well, well, what do we have to eat this afternoon?" Jack started with the questions.

"Simple and usual my friend?"

"Eugene don't tell me that, you know I don't like spaghetti as much as you do right?"

I nodded in response. His face was frowning with the thought of spaghetti in his head.

"I'll go bring the plates, for us to eat or you already full?"

"I'm starving, I don't have any option but to have the food".

I smiled, no matter which food it would be Jack didn't have a chance to refuse feeding himself. I had prepared meat and peas as stew and Cooked rice. I knew he'd love it for sure.

As I was serving someone was smiling. Jack was kind of funny man which made me happy.

"I'll go get the juice from the kitchen". He just nodded as he took bites of rice with meat in his mouth. I took the juice in the jug along with glasses and poured for both of us. The food was delicious I guess, I wasn't that bad in cooking after all. Jack was quiet all the way till he finished his plate of food and had something to say.
