An Unusual Time at Ninjago High School

The Investigation

Because half of the school was destroyed, school ended at lunch, along with 2 days off. The school was really unusual, and I've already decided that I need answers. As soon as I left the school, I saw all six mechs that were in the battle going in another direction.

Carrying my schoolbag, I started running after the mechs, trying to not get spotted. Where were they going? I ran and ran for what felt like an hour. These mechs were fast!

Finally, they stopped in front of what looked like an abandoned garage. I panted and watched as the door opened and all the mechs got inside. 3 of them went through the door, while the other three went through the roof. 

Luckily, the last one that went through the door left it a little open, so I was able to peek inside. 

The mechs parked and stopped moving. 6 ninjas came out of them and landed on the floor with a thump.

Then they all pulled off their masks. They were 5 boys and 1 girl. Wait. I've seen them before. Aren't they the 6 kids in my class that asked to go to the bathroom during today's city attack? To my shock, the strange boy in my class with blond hair was the ninja in green, who was also the one who was glaring at the shark mech!

They wore different colours, including green, red, blue, and black.  "Lloyd!" The one in black said. "That was your dad. You were open, Man," "It was highly poignant!" The one in white said. 

 "For me, it's easy to fight him because he's like, not my father," The blue one said. "But for you, that must be so complicated. " "Not... that complicated" The green one replied.  "You also really pulled at my heartstrings, man." The light blue and grey one said. "I felt... for you." "With the missiles?" The green one asked. 

"Nah, with the other- the other stuff." The light blue and grey one replied. 

"The other stuff?" The green one asked. "Wh- I don't-" "The dad- the dad stuff." The light blue and grey one replied. 'Dad? Wait. Is the green ninja the son of the one who was behind today's city attack?' I thought. Now I was really confused. "Yeah, but like exactly what are you referring to...?" The green one asked. 

"Watching you and your father," The white one replied.

"The vulnerability," The black one added.

"You got so emotional!" The blue one said, nodding. 

"Emotion- emotions were the last thing that were- that was going on out there." The green one said. I decided that it was time to sneak in since their voices were getting quieter and they were distracted. 

I tiptoed through the door, into the garage, and hid behind one of their mechs. Then I slowly poke my head out and listen closely. 

"Uh, yeah," The light blue and grey one said.

"Mhm," The black one agreed, nodded.

"It's okay, Lloyd." The light blue and grey one assured the green one. "Nobody's parents are perfect." "I mean, my mom is weird and collects seashells." The blue one added. "Your dad levels cities and attacks innocent people. So, they've all got their quirks, you know?" "Uh- wh- where's that tranquil music coming from?" The black one asked

I hear it too. I look around and I can see that its coming from a ship that's parking outside the garage. It was in the water.

"Hey look, everyone!" the light blue and grey one said happily. "Master Wu is back!" Suddenly, an old man with a hat, cloak, and beard appeared behind the six ninja. How did he do that? "Hello, students," The old man greeted the ninja. I guess that's Master Wu.
