Hospital Visit

Kacey's POV

I was sitting in the hospital bed with Jack as he lay asleep in my arms. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and decided to text Bobby to let him know what was going on cause I knew I confused both of my siblings last night when I left with Jack in my arms.

Captain Nash

Kacey: Hey, Cap. Jack and I ended up in the hospital last night. Buck will have a lot of questions. Please allow me to answer all of his questions tomorrow when I come in. I get to take Jack home tonight.

Captain: Okay, you try to get some rest and make sure Jack is okay. Thank you for letting me know. I will keep Buck distracted today. I'll let Hen and Chim know to keep their months shut about Jack.

I sighed and locked my phone after reading the message. The nurse came in with discharge papers that I needed to sign. I signed to the papers and looked over at Jack as he slept. The doctor had told me that his blood sugar was low and his pancreas wasn't working enough to give him insulin. I sat there shocked that my little Jack was a type 1 diabetic. They had set him up with a pump and pod for the dexcom. The doctors and nurses showed me how it worked so I would understand what I needed to do. I was glad that he was okay. I set up the dexcom on my phone to help watch his blood sugar.

~That afternoon~

I put Jack in the backseat and buckled him up. I got in the front seat and drove home as we got home. I parked my car, and Jack got out on his own and walked up to the door waiting on me. I got up to the door and unlocked it to see my twin brother Buck getting off the phone to turn and look at me.

I sigh, looking down. " Hey bug, why don't you go put on some more comfortable clothes?" I asked him as he nodded, going to his room.

I sighed, looking at Buck as I walked to my room and decided to change.
