avalon jennings absolutely despised the marauders and everything they had ever stood for. as a fellow Gryffindor, she felt they gave their house a bad name, with their awful bullying, and cruel (and only sometimes funny) pranks. she also absolutely hated the fact that they could never obey the rules, in which she lived by to give her life the structure she was always craving.
the least sufferable of all had to be Remus Lupin, and even then, she hated the boys guts. while much more relaxed at an older age, when he was young, he was quite the bully to Avalon himself. first year, he yanked on the girls pink tailed braids during the sorting ceremony, threw a chunk of turkey at her during the halloween feast, and much more the girl would hold in her brain.
she was amazing at holding a grudge.
however, things changed when the summer before fifth year, Avalon got a letter (delivered by owl) from Remus himself. it included a sincere, and well thought out apology for his past behavior, and a confession that he had been interested in her since the first day he laid eyes on her. for the remainder of the summer, the two exchanged letters back and forth, the two getting as close as they ever had to a person.
then, the week before school began, the two met each other in London, and explored the city together, without the permission or knowledge of anyone else. it was agreed upon between them after that night they would keep their "friendship" a secret, feeling safe in their own little bubble.
they could never guess this friendship would turn into something so beautiful.
AUTHORS CORNER— i had a book with this plot up years ago but it has a special place in my heart so I brought it back!
These two are literally my comfort couple like they are so bby.
