"WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU MEAN YOURE LEAVING" Delphine screamed as she watched Edward pack his things. The rest of the family had already said their goodbyes, leaving to hunt so Delphine could speak privately with Edward.

"I mean exactly that" he replied calmly, zipping closed his bag "It'll only be for a few weeks while I stay with the Denali coven."

"Yes" She hissed at him venomously "I meant WHY are you leaving?!"

He shook his head "I need to get this thirst under control. I can deal with all any other student's blood, but there's..... Something different about her"

"What, her paper skin or weird lip biting habit? There's too much to list about that girl that's different Edward" Delphine sighed sadly "I understand if you need to leave, just make sure to call me and check in, alright?"

"I will" Edward promised. He hugged her before speaking again "I promised mom that I would take care of you, no matter how hard things got. And when she told me about how you had gotten sick as well-"

"I know Eddy" she laughed lightly, pushing him away "You've already told me this story a million times. Though I love hearing it, you're gonna be late if you don't leave. You know how Irena and Kate are"

He smiled at her before grabbing his bag, leaving her standing alone in his bedroom.

The next few weeks passed horribly slow for Delphine. She practiced her gift occasionally, trying to keep her mind off of the chills that seemed to be constantly following her.

Delphi had quickly learned after becoming a vampire, she was "gifted". With a simple look or gesture, she could command anyone to her will. Edward claimed this was because she was always charming in their human days, and had people clambering to do her wishes. She swore off of her powers, unless it was for an occasion prank on her siblings.

She often rode with Emmett and Japser to school, letting the wind blow her long hair behind her. She glanced over her shoulder to see Bella Swan staring.

She threw the girl the darkest glare she had, chucking to herself as the human quickly looked away in fear.

She didn't have anything against the girl, at least not yet. She just needs to protect her family, especially from any slip ups that could cost them their home, or lives.

"Really" Delphine giggled
"Florescents was the best excuse you could think of?"

Edward rolled his eyes at her. He had returned from Alaska and made it clear he did not plan to leave Bella alone.

This caused some tension in the household, mostly with Delphine and Rosalie, who insisted the Swan girl was nothing but trouble.

Bella stood by her old, rusted truck. Edward stares at her. Delphi had nudged his shoulder to get his attention away from the girl, but his eyes quickly drifted to her again. She sigh and climbed into Emmett's Jeep, hoping to annoy her burly sibling before they left.

It was a sudden screech that interrupted their playful banter. Emmet and Delphi looked in that direction, to see Edward using his vampire speed to save the human girl. We were out of Emmett's car in an instant, staring at the commotion the car had caused

Delphi was fuming as her brother hopped over Bella's truck like nothing happened, presumably on his way to the hospital, to inform Carlisle of what happened. Rose and Delphi looked at each other and rolled their eyes, before speeding off in the same direction he went, though they avoided the crowds much better than their brother

"Out of all the stupid, insolent, and just plain reckless things you've done, this is definitely the worst, Edward Anthony Mansen Cullen! Not to mention-"

Edward cut off Delphini's speech "What was I supposed to do? Let her die?"

"YES" Delphi stressed as she threw her hands up in exasperation "Would've saved us all a lot of trouble"

Rose nodded and spoke to Edward with a grim look "This isn't about you, it's about all of us"

Carlisle spoke up from his spot monitoring the argument "I think we should take this into my office"

Delphi glanced up to see Bella watching them from around the corner, and she scoffed, muttering "of course"

The human stood there awkwardly for a moment until she spoke up, looking to Edward "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Delphini glanced at Rosalie once again as the two crossed their arms, giving the human a deathly glare. Carlisle interrupted the two's intimidation with a stern call

"Delphine, Rosalie"

Delphi scowled and turned to follow Carlisle. Rose was soon behind her, she could tell by the sound of the blonde's heels clicking on the marble floor. The two walked into Carlisle's office, and Delphine immediately spoke up once again.

"You seriously can't approve of him having such a close relationship with a human" she told him as the sat in the leather chair across from his desk

"While I am his father inost senses, I can't control his life, Delphi. He can talk to whoever he likes" Carlisle told her calmly as she watched him, silently fuming.

The three sat in tense silence for a moment, before Delphine stood once again "Look, I get he likes this girl, no matter how much he wants to admit it. But this... human is going to be bad news"

Delphi stormed from Carlisle's office and walked into the nearest section of the woods. She took of with her vampire speed to the Cullen house, going inside

Esme approached her daughter, happy to see her home. But once she saw the dark, enraged look on her face, she quickly let her daughter walk by.

The young vampire walked to her room, and dramatically collapsed onto her loveseat. Some may think she might be overreacting, but she always had an eccentric side, especially around her family.

She remained in that spot until her brother and adoptive father returned home, as well as her blond sister. Rosalie immediately stormed into Delphine's room as well, except she paused as she noticed her sister's pose.

"What are you doing?" She asked curiously, forgetting her anger for a second

"Dramatically expressing my inner turmoil through body language" Delphi tells the blond as her eyes remained trained on the ceiling. Rosalie scoffed out a laugh at the scene in front of her, before sitting beside the dramatic Cullen girl.

And the two sat together that night, sharing their distaste for the young human their brother was already falling for.
