Felida pov
We woke at the break of dawn, I would still be sleeping except that when my ranger got the leather for my sheath, he dropped it on top of me.
I now had it sewed together so that it held the shape of my blade, I made a strap of the extra leather so it would sit firmly on my back. It looked so bland though, I wish I had enough pure magic that I could decorate it, but with all the contaminated dust, it would just come out as something dark that I would not want within fifty feet of me. Perhaps I could find a small enough punch for it. Unlikely but nonetheless it wouldn't hurt to look.
I was practicing with my new sword when my rangers voice came through. "we're here little one." I was instantly out the door and climbing up his shoulder. Sure enough, the two rocks with a golden scepter wedged between. It looked as though it fell there though, barely hanging on as it did.
The cave looked imposing, the darkness was almost instantaneous making it so I could not even see inside.
"Any trap you can see?" My ranger eyed me. I had taken the Job of guiding him through darkness as I could see clearly as long as there were no creatures to muddy the air with there dark auras.
"I can't see anything, there's something very evil in there." I could hear the fear in my voice I shuddered at the thought of meeting it.

The little fairy was scared out of her wits looking into this cave, it looked normal as any cave to me but she was scared when she told me there was some dark creature in the depths.
"you can stay with the mage if youd like." I had to go in. The little fairy had given me so much, I had to get her wing back not even whatever beast lurked beyond, would make me falter from this mission.
"no, I stay with you. You know that." She still sounded as though her very bones had iced over.
"Very well. And what of you mage, will you follow us of will you stay.
"I will stay here, I don't do so good with such enclosed places I would only hinder you in there." He looked a little embarrassed at the admittance.
"that's alright Derek everyone has their own fear, we will be back with the treasures, you be ready to heal the little one. Yea?"
"Yes of course, I will wait here."
We entered the cave, it was instantly cold I felt the little one let out a shiver, though could not tell if it was fear or the cold. Maybe both.
"You good little one?"
She pressed against my neck. "Yes, let's hurry, this place is dark."
I heard rocks fall on the far end of the cave. "Go to the pouch little one, I think we're about to fight." She did as I asked shutting the latch behind her.
I drew my sword, I could just make out a shape here and there as my eyes adjusted to the loss of light. A large animal walked my way. Not an animal a girl, long blond hair, a perfectly proportioned body, not a single flaw in her skin, which she made no effort to hide any of. The stench in the cave turned sweet though as she came closer. I lost the will to hold my sword at the ready, it's tip hit the rock hanging loosely in my hands.
When she spoke it sounded as though it had not spoken in weeks, it voice horse yet still sweet. "Why have you come to my home little fairy? Is this human your sacrifice?"I felt the latch open slightly as she poked her head out. "You know better than that demon. We only seek passage to the wares within, will you let us pass?"
"Yes. If you pass the trials."trials, what trials? This is no demon I have ever encountered.
"What is the trial demon?" The little on now had the latch opened all the way hanging on the side.
"Please call me desire fairy." That voice it is so sweet.
'lift your blade and kill it, it is tricking you fool.' The voice came from the far reaches of my mind, I wanted to listen but didn't all at the same time.

" Ok desire. what trials must we pass?" I hoped it was not battle, I could still see nothing with the dark coming from the demon. Her screeches as she spoke threatened to burst my ears. Why has my ranger not killed her yet?
"Only answer my questions. Then you may pass."
"how many?"
"three, you can handle three questions can you not?"
"What happens if I give a wrong answer?"
She laughed, well closer to a cackle bit it did not offend my ears as her speaking did. "Then, little blind girl I will devour you and this human." She sniffed the air. " And you will be a sweet one. So much power your unable to use, it has been stored in you. I will not lie here, I hope you fail."
I shuddered at the thought. "I will accept desire. Ask your questions."
"Who waits outside there?" Well that's an easy one. It's Derek. No. It's mage, demons use titles not names.
"You may call him mage."
"and here I thought I might have a quick meal. How did you know?" dissapointment was clear in her voice.
"Demons do not use names, only titles."
"Yes, well next question. How much water does a gelt store for long journeys?" Gelt, they are the flying beasts demons ride. I don't think they use water.
"None, water repulsed them."
"Oh. You are a smart little one aren't you? Ok last question. None have ever gotten this one."
"I will not answer. You have asked four already. I have answered three desire. Let us pass." The demon growled. I may have offended her with that trick, pleas just let us pass.
"You have five minutes. If you are still here afterwards I will devour you."
Oh thank goodness. As though my ranger were realeased from a trance he slumped over, hands on his knees. Of course, she's a desire demon. He was hearing something far different than I did.
" We must hurry ranger. We have only five minutes to leave. Look for something magical I cannot see."
"yea, just give me a minute, I have a killer headache." Did he not hear the time limit? I wanted to push him to move, but I Kew he would not, I slumped against the wall of my room.
" please hurry."
