Chapter One:
"I quit." I finally announced, closing my eyes in case something blew at me in the next second.
I heard the silence that came over everyone as they all stared at me.
"Hahahahha, what the fuck did you just say Krystal?" yelled Allen.
At that moment, I knew I made a bad choice.
Allen was my leader. I am, or was actually, part of a gang called the Legacy. Not all of us are the bad-asses you imagine us to be. This summer, I was dragged into this gang after I attempted to steal a cookie. I was hungry, okay. No one told me the cookie was actually gonna be a fucking smoke bomb. Of course, the gang made me take the blame. And then I got into it for a while. I'll admit, it was pretty nice to hear that I was their "Queen Legacy." I don't get compliments too often.
After I announced my quit, I knew they would come after me. They always go after all their "traitors."
I planned to escape alone at first, but they were too fast. That's when I felt my phone vibrate 3 times, and I knew he had come to save me. I swiftly made my run towards the exit, hearing the cold shouts from Allen behind me.
"Thank god you came," I exclaimed as I ran into the front passenger seat of the car. "Hurry up and leave now!" I shouted.
"Calm down, I'm driving as fast as I can." Jaxon said, glancing at me to make sure I was okay.
"Sorry. I'm so glad we have that 3-texts emergency signal. I don't know what Allen would've done to me by now if I didn't leave. I love you." I said as I gave my boyfriend a peck on the cheek.
"I'm just wondering why you were part of that shit in the first place. It's alright though, it's all over now." Jaxon said as we pulled onto the driveway of his house.
"Trust me, I don't even know myself." As soon as I said that, I got a call from Hunter.
"Hello? Are you okay? I drove by the shed to see if you were alright but I didn't see you there." Hunter said, sounding worried about me as usual.
"Haha, yes Hunter, I'm okay. And thanks. Jaxon picked me up quickly and I just got to his house now." I responded.
"Ugh. Hunter again? Krystal--" Jaxon murmured.
"Jaxon, Hunter's only, and I repeat ONLY, my best friend. I get that you don't like him at all, but please leave him alone. Okay?" I said, annoyed by all the tension between my bestfriend and my boyfriend.
"I...I guess I should hang up then Krystal. I'm glad you're okay. Bye." Hunter quickly said before he hung up.
"Ugh. You see what you do Jaxon?" I said, suddenly mad about the things that have been happening between them two.
"That bitch deserves it. You're mine now." Jaxon said as he grabbed my wrists and pinned me against the wall, so tightly that I felt his breath against my skin.
I was suddenly scared about what was going to happen next. I loved Jaxon with all my heart, but he gets mad and jealous pretty fast.
"Did you hear that? You're. Mine. Now." Jaxon said in a deep voice, then roughly kissed my lips in a way he never did before.
As he continued to kiss me I closed my eyes, unable to move with his fists clinging onto my wrists.
I shivered from the way he kissed me so roughly, like he wanted more than I allowed him to have.
As I stood there in the moment, unable to decide whether I was enjoying the kiss or not, the thought of that night kept coming back to me.
As I soon gently pushed Jaxon away to show him that it was enough, I glanced up to see a silver car with a guy staring at us. Once we made eye contact, he drove away as if he saw nothing.
I knew it was him.
I knew I couldn't keep it in longer.
I knew I wanted him, too.
