"Wait, what is that?"
The gods stopped their arguing and looked at Hermes. The messenger god was pointing at the ceiling.
Green mist was gathering.
Zeus immediately turned to Apollo.
"Explain," he ordered the sun god.
Apollo's eyes widened, "What? But I don't know!"
Zeus narrowed his eyes, "That's the same mist when your oracle is spouting a prophecy."
"But–"
A flash of light cut him off.
The gods averted their eyes. Just because they were gods didn't mean they were immune to things like this though some of them would deny it.
The light receded and they were greeted by the sight of many demigods, legacies, fauns, satyrs and nature spirits. Artemis noticed her Hunters were also here.
Then, they noticed a few minor gods such as Eros and Zephyrus.
"What is this?" Zeus boomed. "Why are you here? How dare you interrupt an important meeting!" (*cough* yeah right *rolls eyes*)
Some of the minor gods like Nemesis and Hecate, rolled their eyes.
"But," a girl with honey blonde hair and gray eyes started, "didn't you summon us here Lord Zeus?"
Zeus frowned, "Why would I summon you demigods during our important meetings?" (Puh-lease)
Then, three voices sounded from the ceiling.
A few fauns and satyrs screamed. They all turned their heads upward.
"Zeus did not summon you. We did. We are the Fates."
Suddenly, the green mist floated down and three old wrinkly ladies appeared in the throne room.
"We summoned you here for a reading."
"A reading?" Zeus asked, disgruntled.
The three women nodded. "The purpose for this reading is so that you will be able to make better choices in the future." The three women chorused, looking at the gods, specifically, the Olympians.
Said gods frowned at this with Hestia being the exception.
"Better choices?" Hades scoffed.
"All will become clear once you finished reading. Also...
"You will also be able to feel what the person in these books is feeling. Both physically and emotionally. It is necessary because we want you to understand what the person is feeling. However, the pain will be lessened for the demigods and the gods shall feel it the same way the person does."
Then the Fates gestured to the minor gods and demigods.
"Some will not be able to feel the physical pain, but they will also be able to feel the person's emotions. The reason is so that they can watch over you and help."
One of them, Clotho, snapped her fingers and another flash of light covered the throne room.
The light faded and two figures stood there looking confused.
Apollo and Artemis gasped in shock.
"Mother?" Artemis asked as Leto turned to her in surprise.
"Asclepius?" Apollo was looking at his son with wide eyes. The same could be said for Asclepius. "Father?" he asked.
The second Fate, Lachesis, explained.
"They will also be here for the reading."
"You're forgetting someone else." Atropos told her sisters.
"Ah, of course." Clotho mused. She snapped her fingers again and lo and behold, an unmistakable Latino stood in the middle of the throne room with a caramel haired girl.
"LEO!?"
Almost all of the Seven—six— screamed in shock.
Leo Valdez turned to them, eyes wide before he grinned.
"Hey guys!"
Piper ran up to him and Leo, expecting a hug, outstretched his arms. "Hey Beauty Queen! You miss me?"
Then he yelped. "Wha-Hey!" Leo rubbed his foot. "What was that for!?"
Piper bristled, "What was that for!?" She then kicked him again. "For making us think you were dead!"
Leo winced. "S-sorry..."
Piper's eyes softened and she hugged Leo. "Don't leave us like that again."
Leo smiled and hugged back. "I won't, Beauty Queen. I promise."
The rest of the Seven ran caught up on what had happened after Leo died and how he had to go save Calypso and they started hugging and threatening Leo that if he did that again, they would bring him back to life then kill him again.
"And so let the reading begin," the three fates chorused together and they vanished leaving five books in their place.
They all looked at each other, unsure before Hestia walked over and picked up a book. There was no cover, but it had a dark bluish color with the words _Book 1_ written on it.
She looked at the assembly in front of her and smiled.
"Who will like to read?" she asked.
