Tom POV

What am I going to do me and Jake got together after the program and now I have to leave the city and, it's getting more dangerous I don't want Jake to get hurt because of me I couldn't live with that. I had to leave I wrote a note to Jake and left so I wouldn't be here when Jake woke up because his look might make me change my mind I'm going to miss him so much.

Jake POV

Ugh what time is it I checked my phone 6am Tom isn't in bed I have to get ready for work and leave in like 30 minutes Jake "hey Tom you in here". I saw a letter on the kitchen counter and picked it up and read it

The letter

Dear Jake,

I'm so sorry that I have to do this but I'm leaving the city and my mission are getting more dangerous so we have to break up. I wish I could stay but I know I can't hopefully one day I can see you again I love you so much and I hope you know that I'm doing this so you won't get hurt.

Back to Jake POV

My heart dropped after reading the letter I felt tears forming in my eyes don't be stupid I knew that there was a possibility this would happen. As soon as I found out about Tom being in the cast Ben told me that even being his friend this could happen. I can't think about this to much I still have to get ready for work I'll just text the group chat about what happened.

The lgbtq friends -Tom because Ben and James group chat

Jake: hey guys me and Tom broke up because he had to leave the city and his mission we're to getting dangerous

Mike: I'm sorry to hear that

Dan: I'm very sorry too

James: know you guys glad me and ben made sure we didn't add him

Aiden: don't be rude plus that is a good reason why he left he didn't want you to get hurt

Jake: yeah Aiden's right he had a good reason to do that so no trash talk he was doing it for my safety

Ben: yeah I did tell you there was a possibility of this happening but I am sorry and I genuinely will tell you that I won't talk bad about Tom

Gabby: well how about after you shift we all hang out you know just to hang out

Ellie: I'm okay with that

Everyone: ^

Jake: okay well I'll talk later I'm just clocking in

Time skip to after his work

Jake's POV

I was walking to the park everyone said that they we're almost here Dan: "hey Jake" gabby: "hey Jake did you make reservations for the place".  Jake: "yep we have to for 8:30pm" Ellie: "cool that will give us plenty of time to walk around and talk" Ben: "hey we're here" Mike: "glad we aren't the last ones". Aiden: "you guys barely beat us here and it wouldn't have been for James we would have been here sooner."
