Chan was picking up a new habit of coming home later and later. The others didn't really notice, and if they did, they chalked it up to Chan's perfectionism keeping him late at the studio. It was nothing to worry about it.

Changbin, however, always knew when something was wrong.

The sun had gone down hours ago and everyone had already gone to sleep when Chan finally came back to the dorm. Changbin was on the couch fighting off sleep by watching a kdrama that Jisung had been raving about. He startled when Chan tossed his keys onto the counter with a loud jingle.

"Love?" Changbin asked, his voice weighed down by sleep. Chan noticed him for the first time and came to sit next to him on the couch, wordlessly engulfing him a tight embrace. Changbin returned the hug and buried his face in the crook of Chan's neck, comforted that he was home. It made him much more anxious than he would ever let anyone know whenever Chan came home late. He couldn't get to sleep unless Chan was by his side.

Chan sighed, backing up at little so he could look at Changbin's face as he gently trailed the back of his hand down his cheek. "I missed you, how was your day?"

"Fine," Changbin lied, leaning into Chan's touch. Worrying him now wouldn't do any good. Besides, he didn't want to ruin the moment. Especially not when Chan looked divine in the dim light, his voice tired and his touch so gentle. The moments they had alone together were rare. "Did you get everything done?"

Chan nodded, his eyes fixated on the curve of Changbin's collarbones. His hand ran down to his jawline, gently tilting Changbin's lips towards his own. Moments later they kissed, Changbin lazily smiling in response as he felt Chan lick his bottom lip. As soon as Changbin licked into Chan's mouth, he knew something was off.

He slowly broke away, keeping his eyes on Chan's still open lips. "You're smoking again, aren't you?"

There was no other option but to admit it. "I know, I know. I'm sorry, baby"

Chan advanced, pressing Changbin's back to the couch and kissing his cheeks.

Changbin ran his hands through Chan's hair, doing his best to suppress a smile. "You can't do that anymore"

"Mhm," Chan responded absently as his kisses moved down to his jaw, then his neck. Changbin was melting into his touch, all the while trying to hold a conversation. He shivered as Chan softly bit into the spot just below his ear that he knew Changbin loved.

"I'm serious" Changbin managed to say. His body was acting on muscle memory as his legs wrapped around Chan's waist.

Chan indulged in a few more moments of kissing his neck before lifting himself up to look into Changbin's eyes. "I won't do it anymore, It's just good stress relief"

Changbin scrunched up his nose. "But it makes you smell gross" It was only a half-lie. He didn't enjoy the taste of nicotine on Chan's lips but there was also nothing in this world that would ever make him hate kissing him.

Chan laughed, then it turned into a yawn. "Ready to go to bed?"

"Yeah, I was hours ago" He joked, trying to hide the genuine bitterness. "You have to carry me, to make up for it"

Chan rolled his eyes as a loving smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "I guess it's the least I could do"

The next morning, Chan was gone before Changbin even woke up. There was a sticky note left on their mirror so Changbin rubbed the sleep from his eyes to read it.
