sweet 16th | Chapter 4

"Thank you officer's" "tell Mr Fisher that the sherif wants a tea time talk when he gets back" we all look down at the floor " Are you guys serious?? You do realise this could've been way worse if your family wasn't your family!" My mother said annoyed "mom it's not a big deal" "really steven? I'd day getting picked up by the cops for underage drinking is a pretty big deal!" Mom said getting more annoyed "just so you know laural I wasnt drinking I was the dd tonight" jeremiah says smiling, per usual trying to seem like the "good kid" in front of my mum "conrad your the oldest what's gotten in to you and belly since when do you sneek off to a party with out telling anyone?" "Why am I the only one not aloud out?" Belly snaps at mum "it's not that your not aloud out you just should've asked instead of runing off, how'd you even get there?!" Belly sighs looking at the floor "I walked" "belly! You know your not ment to walk by yourself that far down the beach by yourself at this time of night!" Moms pissed now thanks belly. I roll my eyes "can you stop treating me like a child!" Belly yells clearly annoyed "If you want to be treated like an adult act like one!" "Maybe you guys should too." Conrad snaps at mum "i- what?" Mum sighs confused "never mind just go to bed all of you." Mum says rubbing her temples "conrad what's gotten in to you?" Mum asks concerned "Nothing im just tired I'm going to bed goodnight laurel" conrad sighs I speed walk to my room when I hear him walk towards the stairs and get into bed. I feel bad for conrad I hope he's okay.  I woke up at 11 am with a pounding head ace I ignore it and go to walk down stairs when I see belly In the hall "hi belly! Happy sweet 16th!" I say as I run over and give her a hug " thanks jade i feel like it's gonna be a good day today" we head downstairs "morning belly, happy birthday hunny your pancakes are ready" my mum says looking over while putting bellys pancakes on to a plate "I'm not hungry right now mum I'll eat them later" belly says rubbing her neck is she okay?  "Let's open presents then!" susannah says excited we sit down in the living room mum got her a book with a poem susannah made us all memorise, susannah gave her a pearl bracelet, steven got her a Princeton hoodie, I got her a golden necklace with a dasiy on it, jeremiah gave her a good look charm then it came to conrad "Connie it's time for you to give belly her present" susannah looks at conrad like we all do "oh I forgot" we all look at belly "oh um it's fine I wasn't really expecting anything anyways" I look over at him I swear he put something in his pocket just before susannah said it's his turn "look I said I'd help Cleveland,  happy birthday belly" he says while walking out of the room "hey bells wanna try driving before we pick up taylor?" jeremiah asks trying to make her happy "yeah sure" belly says standing up "wait bells" she looks at me "can we talk later?" She nods "yeah sure jade" I nod "we're leaving byeeeee" belly and jeremiah yell while leaving. I go to walk up stairs when susannah calls me "jade" I sigh "yeah susannah?, you okay?" I yelled back "go get changed into somthing nice I want to do your portrait" she yells back "oh uh yeah sure i'll be down in five" I yelled walking up the stairs. I get changed out of my pj's in to a purple dress with daisy's on it, I go out side and sit on the deck, susannah starts to paint then looks at me "so what's up with you and conrad?" I open my eyes in shock "what do you mean?" I ask confused "well you two have been looking at each other with love eyes" my face drops "im sorry what?" I look over to see conrad "oh hey hunny I was just asking jade about this person they are talking to" I nod as he scoffs "that's a lie. I heard what you said mum just bc I've laid off arguing with them doesn't mean I'm in love with them" he looks over at her after rolling his eyes at me "plus I'm doing it for steven he asked me to "drop" what was going on between us" I look over at him "conrad can you just leave so susannah can finish my portrait" I ask trying to calm him down "whatever, come to my room after we need to talk." He says then walks away "I'm sorry about that" susannah said with a disappointed look on her face "it's fine" I say "he's been like this foe a while" susannah says looking at me i just nod. She finished my portrait so I go to conrads room, I knock on the door "come in" I walk in "you said you wanted to talk" I say looking at the floor "what did my mum say to you?" He asked I look up "we were just talking about this guy I like" I roll my eyes at him "stop lying to me!" He yells "fucking hell chill out what is your problem with me!" I yelled back at him he's getting on my nerves "you! You're my fucking problem your so fucking annoying! Your voice goes thought my head!" I look up at his eyes "fuck you fisher. You've had a problem with me since i turned 12 conrad, five fucking summers ago but before that you were fine with me. What did I do to you?!" I yelled getting annoyed "you existed,  you existence annoys me so fucking much. God just go kill yourself no one wants you here jade" I scoff as tears enter my eyes "conrad are you fucking serious right now?" I ask my voice shaking "you know what your such a fucking dickhead how anyone in this house deals with you i'll never know" I yelled at him "how they deal with me?! How the fuck do they deal with you and your constant mood swings and "social anxiety" like grow up your such an attention seeker!" He yelled back getting into my face "fuck you." I say lowly "i really fucking hope you kill yourself so i dont have to deal with you, maybe everyone will be happy then." Tears enter my eyes "yeah maybe everyone will be." I turn around storm to the bathroom attached to my room. I quickly close the door and slide down it. I start crying, no sobbing I go to my suitcase that has a bunch of medication and take out what I need right now. 1 pill turns to 10, 10 turns to 20 I've lost count I can't see anything it's all black "jade?" I hear someone say "look I'm sorry, i didnt mean it" slience. " jade?, can I come in?" I still can't answer "jade?" I hear someone trying to unlock the door, the door then opens "FUCK"
