Karlie

"I can't believe he forgot about her ultrasound." I shake my head. "Like, how do you forget that?" Calum was finally telling me about how Michael and Bella's massive fight three days ago happened. I didn't realize it went back to that morning. I genuinely believes Bella was just picking on every little thing Michael did that night when they came here, to ours, and she was just being hormonal. Turns out she had a valid reason. I can't believe I was only finding out now.

"I have no idea." Calum looks up at me from his place on the floor. He was currently doing bench presses, using Talia. She kept squealing and giggling every time Calum pushed her up in the air. It was utterly adorable. "It's Michael." Calum laughs slightly.

"But still," I hum watching Calum with his daughter. It was a little weird still to see him like this. I honestly thought he would've freaked out a bit more when babysitting Talia was just sprung upon him. Becca showed up at the door this morning, nearly in tears, because she had made the mistake of forgetting she had a client today and was needed at work. I felt so bad for her. I felt bad for Calum too, he just had Talia thrown at him basically.

I could never handle that. I don't even think with my own baby I could handle that. It looks like I may have to be a single parent after all. Calum told me Luke would call. He explained to me Liz found out about my pregnancy, which means Luke was probably going to get his ass handed to him. It made sense she took him home for a little while but he was supposed to call me. Calum told me Luke said he would call me. It been three days now since Luke left and I haven't heard a word. It was getting pretty upsetting. After Calum told me they were on good terms and Luke seemed okay I thought that maybe I wouldn't be doing this alone, maybe we would be the family I thought I saw us being. Turns out Luke was still just a scare little boy.

"Hey," Calum says to me, sitting up with Talia in his arms, her eyes becoming transfixed on the tattoos dotted about on the arm around her.

"What's up?" I try not to giggle at Talia's amazement.

"It doesn't matter." Calum quickly changes his mind, turning Talia around to face him.

I scowl at him. While he is busy making stupid faces at Talia I come of the couch and into the floor with them. I sit next to Calum and nudge his shoulder with mine. "What?"

"It really doesn't matter." Calum tries to laugh me off.

"But it does." I groan. "Tell me."

"No Karlie," Calum chuckles. "It is honestly not a big deal."

"Do you want Tally to see me kick your butt?" I frown. "Because I will!" I try my best to be as threatening as possible but my smile really doesn't help.

"Why would you kick my butt?" Calum's head whips round to look at me.

"Because you are being dumb." I reply back smartly. "And you know I've done it before. Don't think I can't do it again."

"Okay," Calum rolls his eyes. "One," he holds up a finger. "I was a scrawny thirteen year old and two," he holds up his other finger. "You are pregnant. Something tells me you should not be trying to kick anyone's butt, even if it is mine."

"Pregnant or not I could kick your butt." I mumble to him.

He smiles at me. He opens his mouth to say something but Talia beats him to it.

"Caaaaaaaaal!" She drags his name out in a sing-song-y way.

"Yeah, Squidge?" He chuckles at her. I chuckle too at the little nickname he adopted for her five minutes after she arrived. It was all because we both realized her face was just as squishy and adorable as Calum's. He said when he was a baby his mum used to call him 'squidgey' so he decided to shorten that to shorten that to 'Squidge' just for Talia. So far she was loving her new little nickname. But only Calum, or Calmum, is allowed to call her it.
