Tsunami settled down on the rainforest floor, staring at her reflection and looking back at her in the river below. She felt sick to her stomach, but not from any hunger or sickness. She turned her head to the arboretum where hundreds of Rainwings were cheering and congratulating their new queen. Tsunami was supposed to be there, right? All of her friends were, after all. No. Starflight is with Clay by the Nightwing tunnel, only Sunny is there. Tsunami sighed and looked back into the lake, the body of water, though small and insignificant, reminded her of her home in the Kingdom of the Sea. Tsunami must have been mad, expecting everything to go the way she had envisioned it since she was little. Why was she so stupid, thinking she would just magically have what it took to become queen the moment she stepped foot into the summer palace? She dipped her tail in the water. Whenever she was upset back under the mountain, she would swim, or dip her talons or tail into the water, it helped calm her, and it helped make her feel like things would improve. Today, it didn't. Tsunami looked back to see Glory, looking the happiest she had in her entire life, now Queen of the Rainwings. Tsunami tore her head away. That's supposed to be me. A growl escaped her, I've been waiting my ENTIRE life, it was me who was supposed to become queen eventually, not her! She felt angry, why did she feel angry? All of her friends were happy with Glory, sure, Glory and Tsunami didn't have the greatest relationship in Phyrria, but she was her friend nonetheless... So why didn't she feel proud of her? Why did she feel bitter on the inside? Could I be jealous of her? No, I don't get jealous, only dragonets do that, I'm a princess, I'm much better than that?"

"Tsunami?"

"Ah!" Tsunami jumped, springing around as her little Sandwing companion snuck up on her, carrying Glory's pet sloth, wrapped around in a soft cloth, "Sunny don't do that!"

"Sorry! Sorry! I didn't mean to, I thought you'd hear me coming!" Said Sunny with a little giggle, "Why are you here?"

"No reason, go be with Glory, Sunny."

Sunny sat down next to her, concerned, "You should be there with her too, she would love your support."

"Not everything is about her, Sunny," Tsunami growled, looking back into the water, wishing it was deep enough to swim in.

"She's the queen of an entire tribe now, Tsunami! Isn't that just exciting? It's kind of weird that we know a queen now, but it's cool too!"

"Would you please shut up about Glory for TWO SECONDS?!" Tsunami said, tail thumping angrily against the ground.

"Oh.."

"Thank you." Tsunami huffed, taking some water and wetting her face, missing the ocean and her fantasies of the home she thought she would find. She did get her hopes up for nothing.

"What's wrong?" Sunny said, scooting closer as if what just happened didn't even phase her.

"Nothing."

"If something wasn't wrong, you wouldn't be all growly right now." Sunny said, "Did Glory and you have another fight?"

"No."

"Then why do you seem so angry at her?"

"I'm NOT angry at her!" Tsunami thundered, "Maybe a little, but it's nothing."

"What did she do this time?" Sunny asked, which is what she often asked her when they got into arguments under the mountain.

"She didn't do anything, Sunny."

"Then why are you out here by yourself looking sad and angry?"

"Because it wasn't supposed to be this way!" Tsunami blurted. She didn't want to, but Sunny was the closest to Glory she would get at telling this to.
