I was on the running track at SHIELD base with Natasha. We must have been on our 10th lap and all she could do was ask questions.
"So you and Rodgers have made up?" She asked,
"Yes" I replied as I stopped for a minute. She stopped as well and we did stretches.
"So what's happening with you two, are you just friends, more then friend or just making life complicated for each other?" She asked in a curious but supportive way. I just laughed, I felt like I was being interrogated.
"Well we are just best friends" I said to her,I then started to smile like an idiot.
"Why lie Barton?" She said playfully hitting me, she always felt dead frustrated with me and Steve, I don't even blame her.
"I'm serious" I was still smiling like an idiot. I was a rubbish liar. All of a sudden Sam flew over us and landed.
"Hey girls, what you all taking about?" He said walking towards us.
"We are talking about how April and Rodgers are friends and she won't tell me if that's all they are" Natasha said putting her hands on her hips. I just laughed. I felt so awkward about this and I always laughed when I was in awkward situations.
"Well I did she him leaving her room this morning"
"SAM" I scowled at him, I notice him laughing.
"You little minx" Natasha said smirking at me.
"It's not what you think, we were doing research and it got late so he stayed." I replied.
"Whatever you say" Sam winked at me. I shook my head and walked off, they both jogged to catch up with me.
"Seriously though, you both need to stop all this messing each other about and either get together or just be friends..... You don't need to be sleeping with each other and flirting all the time." Sam said in a serious way. I sighed, I knew he was right, but there was no way we would ever be more, we just didn't feel that way and with are jobs it's not worth the risk.
"We will never be more then friends" I said. We started making our way back to base when a message can over the system. "Please will everyone on Agent Fury's assemble team, please meet in conference room A. As soon as possible".

Once we reached the conference room everyone was there, Thor, Natasha, Clint, Sam, Steve and Stark. I sat down at the back near Steve, I smiled at him and he winked at me. I laughed quietly and shook my head at him. Nick walked in to the conference room "Morning agents..... By now you have all had time to process what happen at the beginning of the week" I looked over at Steve to see the reaction on his face. I'm guessing he was ok, he was just looking at Fury talking. "What our next move Sir?" Clint asked.
"I am going to have a meeting with Coulson later today, to discuss our next move.... From what Agent Barton and Captain Rodgers tell me, he isn't someone who will play nice." I sat back in my chair. This wasn't going to be an easy fight, maybe it was time they knew about me harnessing the mind stone, they are going to have to know sooner or later, I will talk to Fury about it later.
"I will call a meeting when I have spoken to Coulson, you are all dismissed", everyone started leaving. I followed Nick out of the room and caught up with him.
"Maybe it's time to tell everyone Sir, they are going to need to know sooner or later" I said to him as we walked to his office.
"You sure you are ready to tell everyone... You don't even know how to control your power properly" I gritted my teeth, I had been trying to control them and to be fair I was doing a better job then I was four months ago.
"Sir with all respect I have better control then what I did four months ago, I could use the powers to help the team." He unlocked the door to his office.
"Ok, if you think that's what is best then we can address it at the meeting tomorrow" I gave him a single nod before leaving.

Later that day I made my way to the chill out zone. I loved this room. It was all filled with sofas and vending machines, it also had a small kitchen area for people to make food. As I walked in I saw Clint with his back to me, he was watching something on the sports channel. "Hi big bro" I said flopping in the sofa across from him. "Hey, what's up?" He said not taking his eyes of the telly.
"Nothing just bored", I threw a pillow at him so he would take his face away from the telly. He looked at he and threw the pillow back "what was that for" I am trying to have a conversion with you" I was slightly annoyed, he turned the telly off and I sat up on the sofa.
"What's wrong sis?" I sighed and explained the conversation I had with Nick, i was surprised by he reaction. I didn't think we would be so understanding, I was thinking he would go all over protective on me.
"Im here for you April, if that's what you feel you need to do, then do it" he smiled at me. "Does anyone else know?" He asked before getting up and going to the vending machine for a drink. "Just you, Nick and Steve". I stood up as I had to go and meet Tony with some file. "You know I'm always here for you don't you April?" I nodded and hugged my big brother. He was always looking out for me, I don't know what I would do with out him.
I set of to meet Tony. All the way there I kept thinking about Steve, I hadn't seen him today and it was unlike us to not see eachother. "Hey Tony!, I have the files you want" I said setting them down on the side, "Oh thanks April" I saw Thor lent against the table. "Hey Thor" I said and flashed him a smile. "Hello April".
"How's things going with tracking Ronan.?" I asked unsure, I kind of hoped the would never find him and that he would never find us. The man terrified me and I wasn't sacred easily. "Not brilliant" Thor said as he walked towards the computer. "Well I will leave you boys to it" With that left, I felt concerned I hadn't seen Steve since he left this morning.

A while later I went to the gym to see if he was there. I knew him far to well. He was there with his punching bag as he always did, music was blasting from the CD player, I sat on the bench until he was finished. He was so buff, especially with his tight top on. He punched the bag off the hook, he picked another one up and started started hitting it I paused the music and he didn't even stop. Ok there was something definitely wrong with him I thought to myself.
"Hey soldier" I said in a flirty tone as I walked over to him. He kept punching, I put my hand on his shoulder. "Steve stop!" I was really concerned. He stop and turned to me. His eyes looked sad, I put my hand on his check, his face felt warm and damp from the sweat. "What's happened?". He was silent for a minute before he spoke. "Peggy past away" I was shocked, he use to always tell me about her, he would go and see her in hospital sometimes. They where good friends and he was in love with her. "I'm so sorry Steve". I pulled him into a hug and his big strong arms wrapped around my body to hug me back.
A.N sorry if it was a little boring. This is the last chapter tonight, I a, back at work tomorrow, but I am still aiming to do 2 a night, but I something will be on every time if possible, however I do work long shift, I will post soon.
