Yashdutt and wife,s story.

Yashdutt is not a blind but he, s wife pray make my husband blind.

So start this story .

A long time ago ,there was a Brahman
Named Yashdutt who lived in a city.

He performed yagyas and poojas( worship).

For others and earned his living,

He was a simple and pious man.
But Yashdutt, s wife was of loose morals.

She always looked at other man and had many loves.

Though many people had warned Yashdutt about his wife,s bad character, Yashdutt had never believed them.

One day, Yashdutt, s wife meet a young attractive man .

Every day she would go to meet him .

She would cook sweets made of ghee and jaggery Every day.
She would feed her lover when she met him.

One day Yashdutt had observed that his wife prepared sweets Every day but Never served him.

She would take it away from home.

One evening as his wife was leaving the house Yashdutt asked her ,

" Dear, every day you make sweets and take away in a plate.

What do you do with the sweets?"

The clever wife said,

" I take these sweets to the devi temple out side the town near the lake.

I fast every day and pray for your long life and our prosperity.

I offere these sweets to the devi and then I come back home and have dinner. "

     With these  words  the  Brahmin,s wife  left the  house.

       But  the  Brahman became  suspicious  and  thought that  his wife  had  not  gone  to the  temple  .

        But to meet  someone  she  loves.

    So   Yashdutt  decided  to follow  her.

On the  other  hand, Yashdutt, s wife  thought,

        " perhaps,  my husband  has  started  suspecting  me.

       I  must not give  him. Any chance  to
      Suspect  me further  and catch  me red handed.

     So I will do exactly  as I told him."

     Yashdutt, s wife reached the lake near  the temple.

      She placed  her  plate  of  sweets  under a tree  and  went  for  a dip in the lake than she came  out,  picked  up the  sweets.

And went to the  devi  temple.

Yashdutt had  followed  her, he watched her  every  move.

When  his  wife  was about  to go  towards the temple.

Yashdutt, s wife  arrived and  performed 
The  Pooja.
She had not  expected  that her husband
Would  follow her  even in the temple.

So, with folded hands she  prayed to the God .

       Said, " " devi ,ma please bless  me and as I wish, Make  my husband  blind".

       Yashdutt, who was hiding  behind the idol, said  in a woman, s voice  .

    " Take  this  sweets  home  everyday and feed your husband.

    Only then will he go blind  and your

wish will be fulfilled,  my daughter. "

               Then,  as  Yashdutt, s wife was about  to leave  the temple  ,Yashdutt  left the temple  through  the  back alley and reached  home  before  her.

        When she reached  home  she fed Yashdutt  some sweets.

          The next  day  when  she  came  back  from  the  temple  to feed  Yashdutt  the sweets.

       She  was surprised  to see her  husband  moving  around  the house.

         With unsteady  steps.

    She  asked  him  ," Dear,  what  is wrong?.

Why are you  moving  around as if you are drunk  or you  can not see clearly. "

        " Oh dear " Yashdutt  exclaimed.

         " I think  I am going to  become  blind  slowly  my vision  is decreasing. "

Yashdutt, s wife  was very  happy  to hear  this.

   For some  more  days  she  fed the sweets  to her  husband  but  he never  declared  that  the  he was completely  blind.

         In fact  Yashdutt  was playing  a trick  on his  wife to check her faithfulness.

         One week  later  when  Yashdutt, s wife  was  very  sure  that  her husband was now to totally  blind, she  started Yashdutt  behaved  like a blind man  and  did not  do anything.
                 

               But  the  third  day.
   But  the  third  day  he lost  control
That day  just  when  his  wife  ,s lover had  settl down  to eat some  fruits  that  his  wife  had  offered  him.

Yashdutt  got up  from  his  bed, picked up  a stout  well- oiled  stick and started  beating  up  his  wife, s lover.
               The lover  fled  the house  clasping  his  blading  head  in hands.

Then  Yashdutt  picked up a long  knife  and  cut his  wife, s nose  and  ear.

Shouting  at her angrily  he said,
         " you unfaithful  women. How  dare you will  remember all your  life.

          Go away  with  this  ugly  face  and I,ll see how  many  man  became  your  lovers .

           Get out  of my house  at once. "

        Yashdutt  pushed  his  unfaithful  wife  out  of  his  life  and  his  house  forever.
