The Announcement

RD POV:

Ring!

A notification popped up on Rainbow's screen.

AJ just sent a message (now)

I opened my phone.

"Can we meet up later at Sugarcube Corner? I want to talk to y'all about something."

I texted back: "Sure, cya there!"

Then suddenly, my phone began to ring. Rarity was calling me.

I picked up.

"Hey Darling! You won't guess what happened." She exclaimed.

"What?" I replied back with no emotion.

"Oh. You'll see." She said. 

I felt really insecure when she said that. It sounded evil and dark. I could feel a shiver down my backbone. But, I'm Rainbow Dash! I'm confident, brave and 20% cooler than everyone else. There's nothing to worry about!

A few hours later, I walked out of the house, hopped on my motorcycle, and began to drive to Sugarcube Corner. I parked my motorcycle, and entered the cafe. I saw all my friends and waved at them. I was known for being late everytime we come here.

"So, whatcha' wanna talk about AJ?" I asked excitedly. 

"Erm, well. Me and Rarity decided that we would tell y'all this." AJ said hesistantly.

"We decided to tell you all, well..." Rarity continued.

"That." AJ said.

"We're together. Like as girlfriends." They said at the same time.

All 5 of us just froze there, jaw dropped. But, I could also feel a tiny drop of tear forming in the corner of my eye. Then all the other girl ran and hugged both Rarity and AJ. 

I was the only one still on the couch. Frozen. In shock. And I also felt a tiny part of my heart shatter. 

Then, when the girls were in a warm embrace, I notice Rarity giving me a evil smirk then continued to hug my friends. 

I want to punch her face, but she's my friend. And I see AJ with a huge smile and laugh on her face. I don't want to ruin her love life, I want her to be happy.

After a few more seconds, everyone seprated from the hug. 

"How'd it happen? I'm quite surprised." Sunset asked.

"Oh, Rarity confessed to me. I honestly had a crush on her since the Battle of the Bands. Her costume changes and interest in fashion is really interesting." AJ confessed. And she never lies. She's the element of honesty for goodness sake! But, that's when I started liking her.

I just sat there with my head down. I took out my phone and started looking at some of the photos me and AJ took, "as friends". I just wish I was Rarity right now. 

"I love Applejack so much because of her honesty and kindness. She's just the best person!" Rarity says embarrassed.

"Aren't your personalities basically completely the opposite though?" I asked, showing a bit of anger and sadness.

"Yes, but we still love each other." Rarity said while shooting a glare at me.

"Ya seem kinda in a bad mood today Rainbow, ya fine?" She said while putting her hand on my shoulder.

I blushed a little, but eventually pushed her hand away while replying: "I'm fine. But, I have some chores to do at home. So Imma go now. Bye!" I said, and disappeared in a flash.

I was outside the shop, and I saw all my friends laughing and having fun. I saw AJ give a kiss on Rarity's cheek, and they both blushed and leaned on each other. I couldn't hold it in anymore, tears streamed down my face, wishing I never saw that. But, I was also so selfish. AJ is so happy, I shouldn't ruin it for my own happiness. She's too special to me, I just can't. 

I went back home, rushed into my room and screamed and cried into my pillow. 

"𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝑜𝓃 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝐼 𝒹𝒾𝒹𝓃'𝓉. 𝐼 𝒸𝒶𝓃'𝓉 𝒹𝑜 𝒶𝓃𝓎𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒶𝒷𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝒾𝓉. 𝐼'𝓁𝓁 𝒿𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝑔𝑒𝓉 𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝒾𝓉." I mumbled.
