“Alright students,” Baldi said once everyone was in their seats. “Today is going to be a catch up day. So get out any missing work and work on it.” The students pulled out their work and started to get to work. The silence was nice, but also unnerving to the math teacher.
Baldi sat down at his desk and pulled out papers from a recent test. He also pulled out both a green pen and a red pen. He started to grade the test, using the green pen for the right answers and the red one for the wrong answers. It was calming to him, though after a while he started to hear a voice.
“Please let me go! I swear I’ll do better!”
The voice sounded familiar to Baldi. He looked around the room to see if anyone was talking. Though everyone was silent. The math teacher shook his head and went back to grading.—--------------------------------------
Kenneth patrolled the halls, whistling his usual tune. He was keeping an eye out for any rule breakers as usual when he stopped in front of Baldi’s classroom door. He quietly opened the door and poked his head in. All of the children were silently working at their desk while Baldi was grading papers. Kenneth walked into the room and walked towards Baldi, making sure to not disrupt the students.
He tapped the math teacher on the shoulder and he turned around to look at him. “H-hi Mr.Kenneth,” he said with a hint of fear in his voice. “What d-do you need?”
“I want you to come to my office at lunch,” Kenneth answered. “We need to talk.”
“A-alright.” The principal walked out of the classroom and went back to patrolling the halls. ‘Why did Baldi seem scared earlier?’ he thought. ‘He is never scared like that. Did something happen to him? What managed to scare him so badly? W-’
“What’s wrong boss?” A muffled yet loud voice asked. He turned around to find Gotta Sweep standing behind him. He quickly jumped back with a small scream. “Don’t stand behind me like that,” he said. Gotta Sweep nodded his head. “Understood,” he said. “Anyways, what’s wrong?” Kenneth let out a sigh. “I’m just worried about Baldi. He seemed scared earlier.”
“Well I’m sure he’s fine. You know how hard it is to rock his boat.” Kenneth let out a slight chuckle. “Yeah, you're right,” he said. “Though I’m still gonna check in with him at lunch. Anyways, thanks for the little pep talk.” Even underneath his mask, Kenneth could tell that Sweep was smiling. “No problem,” Sweep said. “Feel free to come to me anytime you need help with things like that.”
Kenneth gave him a slight smile. “Good to know,” he said. “We should both get back to work though.” The janitor gave him a slight nod. “All right boss. I’ll see you later.” He then proceeded to go down a hallway, sweeping anything in his path.
Kenneth walked down a different hallway and started to whistle his usual tune.
