Prologue
"Ugghhh, what time is it?" I looked out at the big window tiredly. Outside was as dark as a black cat, as usual. The only luminated object was Kingdom Hearts, overlooking me. Why didn't I own a clock? Seriously, The Place That Never Was doesn't really follow a usual day. But maybe that's how it's supposed to be, considering us nobodies to stay in the shadows. Whatever, it's not like I'm an outcast here. At least I belong.
I heard knocking on my door. "Roxas, get up already, man. It's way past sleeping time." It's Axel, the so-called early bird. Yeah right, I bet someone wakes him up too. "I'm awake Axel, calm down." I told him, yawning. "Oh yeah, don't make me come in there," he warned. "And I'll bring the dusks in too." I froze at that line. The dusks terrify me. Before Axel could say another word, I sprang out of bed and shot the door open before he could come in. "I'm up! I'm up!" I shouted. "Good boy Roxas," he said, patting my head. "Now go eat before we go on our mission." "Ugghhh, fine."
Now, life in the Oragnization could be... you know busy. Every day us memebers would go on missions to increase our Kingdom Hearts. If you ask me, I think it's a big waste of time, because of the fact that the other 10 mission members don't really make a difference. However, number 13 (that's me), has a different story. That is correct, I work on Kingdom Hearts all by myself, and that is a complete drag. But our boss, Xemnas, told me that if I finish Kingdom Hearts, I could have a better life outside of The World That Never Was. He said that we would be "Whole", whatever that means. I really just do my job so I don't become homeless. But it's really not that bad because I have my best friend with me. Axel even said that we would always be friends forever. If I would really stay here forever.
