Out of breath, you toss your upper body down to your knees. Both hands placed at the caps as you kneel down to the wet ground. Leon leans against a barbed wire fence, catching his breath as well. The sun is starting to fall, and you both had just gotten done running away from a hoard of zombies. You both managed to slip into an alleyway to catch your breath before you had to pick up the pace again. Leon peaks around the building next to him, searching for any evidence of the undead.

You turn to him, finally getting your breathing pattern. Standing up straight, you whisper, "Is it clear?" He looks back at you in the silence and nods in confirmation. You let out a sigh of relief, putting your hands on your forehead. You spin around in the alley and notice a door is opened. You snap at Leon, causing him to quickly make his way over. You point at the door as he looks back down at you, "This place looks decent. Let's go." He pushes the door open swiftly, making a loud, screeching metallic noise in the process.

You make no haste striding into the building after him, firmly closing the door. You both start to secure it by tossing boxes and small bits of furniture that were in the room. You stand back and make sure there aren't any flaws in the barricade itself. You're satisfied, and so is Leon. "You're a great builder, I'll give you that." He says, giving a gentle pat on your shoulder. You smirk at the compliment following him deeper into the building.

You enter another small room, covered in papers and glass from the small windows. Every step you took made a crackle or a crunch. On your right was a hallway with a staircase, and the left had a pile of miscellaneous objects forced into that specific corner. Leon grabs your hand, pulling you towards the wall, pulling out his gun in the process. He turns to you slowly, placing the gun on his lips, then turning back.

You can hear the gurgling sounds coming from the hallway you were just about to enter. Leon's hand tightens around you, making sure you don't leave his side. He slowly slid closer to the hall, gun to his nose. The noises came closer, causing Leon to inch back, pushing you into a box pile. It falls over, revealing that the zombie isn't alone anymore. You angrily take out your blade and charge in front of Leon. The zombie swings its arms in front of itself, reaching for you. You kick its chest, making it collide with the wall.

Readjusting your knife, you raise your hand and slam the blade directly into its temple. You pull it out again, slamming it into the other temple, making the body under you jolt. You raise the knife above your head one last time, landing it directly into the forehead. You pull it out, wiping it on your pants leg. "How pathetic." You slide the blade back into your pants, wiping your hands on your thighs. Leon puts his gun back, shaking his head. "What?" You ask, walking towards him, as he peaks his head around the corner another time.

"I just think you need to tone it down, is all." He says, whipping himself into the hallway towards the stairwell. You follow him, "I beg to differ." You taunt chuckling, knowing that he's rolling his eyes at your response. He slowly makes his way upstairs, you trailing along behind him. Watching your step, you notice Leon's ass is basically right in front of your face. "Nice ass, Kennedy." You tease, giving him a firm slap on the right cheek. He jumps at the sudden touch and looks directly back at you.

"Don't do that. Please." He returns to climbing the stairs, "You're not even going to say 'thank you'?" He rounds the corner at the top of the second floor, pulling his flashlight from holder on his belt. Pointing down the hall, he notices it's much cleaner. "Looks like someone made a home up here." You both make your way down to the door at the end of the hall. Leon pushes it open, revealing a completely unbothered bedroom. Covered in dirt and layers of accumulated dust, the room stays untouched.
