Item # 100: See A Horde of Zombies.
As the ashy, dark snow trickles down from the sky as we make our way through the streets of Trenton.
Zombies appear over the horizon, growling and snarling.
"Number one hundred," I begin to say. "Check."
"What was number one hundred?" Maxwell asks me.
"See a horde of zombies…." I tell him.
Liam says, "If you disregard the impending danger, it's actually kind of cool."
"A little…" Bruno admits.
"We are so telling our kid about this," Lexie says to Ibtihaj, to which she nods.
I tell Joseph, "Things are about to heat up… I'm gonna temporarily zip this, okay, little buddy?" Then I close my bag.
The zombies charge toward us and we engage in battle.
Gunshots echo through the streets.
A zombie tackles Ibtihaj, opening and closing its mouth.
Ibtihaj tries to push it off.
Lexie blows the zombie's head apart and helps Ibtihaj up. "You can't die yet, you have a child to help raise."
We continue to fight our way through the horde.
Then, we open the doors to a skyscraper.
Liam holds is open as we all run in and he shouts, "Go, go, go."
Once we're all inside, we barricade the door.
And when we run up the stairs, I think to myself how I've never felt such a thrill more in my life.
