The morning sun shimmered, casting its radiant glow upon the vast expanse of white that enveloped the land, as a car gracefully traversed a path blanketed in glistening snow.

"Excuse me, could you please make a brief stop at the postal office?" the Captain asked, his voice commanding yet laced with a touch of courtesy.

"Certainly, sir," the driver promptly replied, casting a respectful glance at the Captain through the rearview mirror.

"I'll wait for you here, Captain," the driver said, parking the car near the entrance of the postal office.

"Thank you," replied the Captain, opening the car door. The immediate rush of frigid air awakened his senses, penetrating the cosy confines of the vehicle.

"Brrr, that'll certainly wake you up in the morning," the Captain mused, hastening his steps toward the postal office. With each footfall, the snow beneath his boots emitted a satisfying crunch, diverting his attention to the vast open field that sprawled behind the building.

"I told you it's in the back!" one of the postmen exclaimed, his head concealed beneath the front desk.

"Are you sure? I can't seem to find it back here!" shouted the other postman from a storage room at the rear.

"Well, double-check! It could be anywhere!" the man under the desk retorted.

The doors swung open, revealing Captain Y/N, his boots adorned with a dusting of snow. He vigorously shook off the cold flakes as he entered.

"I'll never quite get used to this weather," Y/N muttered to himself, making his way to the front desk.

"I already told you it's not back here!" came the muffled voice of the postman from the storage room.

"Then triple-check!"

The Captain stood there for a moment, patiently awaiting the man at the front desk to acknowledge his presence or at least register the creaking sound of the opening door. However, it seemed that their collective focus was too consumed by the search.

"Uh, ahem!" the Captain cleared his throat, effectively announcing his presence to the man beneath the desk.

"I'll be there in a sec," the man responded.

"Yes? How may I help you, sir?" the postman inquired, his gaze fixated on the Captain, scrutinising his uniform.

"Well, I was wondering if you have any mail for me," the Captain replied.

"Mail? Aren't you a bit far from home? You're from Leidenschaftlich, right?" the man questioned, his curiosity piqued.

"I suppose the uniform gives it away, but yes, I'm looking for mail, possibly under the name Y/N L/N," the Captain admitted. He hadn't bothered changing out of his Captain uniform since the soldiers back at Camp Menace didn't mind.

"And could I also get an address?" the man asked, trying to gather all the necessary information.

"Camp Menace," Y/N replied, momentarily forgetting that he hadn't provided the address to the man at the front desk.

"Camp Menace? What's a soldier from Leidenschaftlich doing up there?" the man inquired, his confusion evident.

"Well, it's a long story," the Captain said, a hint of intrigue in his voice.

"Right, sorry, I didn't mean to pry. Well, I'll check for you in the back," the man said before disappearing to retrieve the Captain's mail.

As Y/N glanced out of the postal office window, his gaze captured a clearer view of the open field. It stretched out before him, revealing an airfield with its tire tracks imprinted upon the runway, while a hangar-shaped building stood nearby.
