Summary:

Since the Christmas season is slowly beginning, Price gave Soap and Ghost time off so they could go to the Mactavish's.

Soap was very happy to be with his family again and to have his boyfriend with him.

Everything was fine until he found Ghost in the guest room with one of his sister's toys in his hand.

"Hello you two," Soap's mother joyfully opened the front door.

"Nice to see you again Simon," she let them into the house before hugging them both.

"Nice to see you too", Ghost said as he took off his mask.

This wasn't the 1st time for Ghost to visit the Mactavish's. At the 1st meeting Ghost was quite nervous to meet his boyfriend's family, but now he is a part of the family for all of them. And Simon's assistant dog Riley was also part of it. Simon saw it the same way. Even though he didn't want to for the first time, he took the Mactavish's to his heart. They even know something about his past, that's how much he trusted them.

"Simon!", Soap's little sister Fiona ran to him and hugged him.

"Come let's play something!", she wanted to pull him up to her room with her, but John stopped her.

"Let us arrive first. Simon can play with you later ok?"

Fiona nodded before pulling Simon to the living room and chatting him up, which made John laugh a little. He was glad that the two got along, even if Simon is not the most talkative. In the beginning when he was there with Simon for the first time, he was a little worried that she could overwhelm him with her wild and pushy nature, but the worries were in vain. Ghost even often played with her in her room or read to her when she couldn't sleep. Fiona clung to him every time they had to leave again.

"Glad to see you're doing well, son," his father came out of the kitchen and hugged him tightly before asking,
"Isn't Simon with you?"

"No he is, he and Fiona are sitting in the living room. Can I help you cook?"

His father wanted to say no at first because he knows what a mess his son makes every time he is in the kitchen, but since Soap is so rarely around, he made an exception and cooked with him.

"Huh, where's Simon?" John asked his other sister, Vita, as he walked into the living room.

She looked up from her cell phone. "They're both upstairs."

John nodded and went up to Fiona's room, but didn't go in right away, instead peeking quietly through the door.

Fiona had been showing Simon her Lego collections and was now playing with a Batman set with him. John chuckled quietly and filmed the two of them as it was just too cute.

John was just a little confused as Simon really got into character. John never really noticed how intense Simon was about it, but he didn't question it.

He put his phone away before getting them both to eat.

By now a week had passed and Christmas was getting closer. Even though Simon claimed he was doing okay so far, John was worried. He knew what was happening to his family at this time, how much Simon actually hated Christmas and how hard this time is for him. This is the first Christmas that he hasn't spent alone, lying in bed all day.

It seemed as if Simon wanted to keep something secret from John and as if something else, apart from the death of his family, was bothering him. He tried to talk to Simon about it so many times, but Simon always avoided him. Once he found Simon asleep in Fiona's room. He actually wanted to wait until John had fallen asleep to avoid the conversation again, but then he fell asleep there. It made John a little sad, but he accepted that Simon didn't want to talk about it.
