I'm waiting in line for some Coffees at a corner shop, having waited about 10 minutes I'm starting to get a bit impatient as I was supposed to meet up with an old friend, as well as some juniors from the contracting firm I work at with said old friend. I eventually get the 4 Coffees and head outside, it doesn't take too long to get to where we're meeting up so I get there in around 2 minutes.

Satoru:"Hey! (Y/N)!"

I turn around to greet him.

(Y/N):"Yo, Satoru."

Satoru:"These are the juniors." He points towards a young man and woman.

Tamura:"Hello, it's nice to meet you (Y/N)-san! My name is Tamura." He reaches his hand out for a handshake.

(Y/N):"Hello Tamura." I shake his hand. "Who is she?" I look towards the woman standing beside Tamura.

Tamura:"Oh she's Sawatari Miho, my fiancé!"

Miho:"It's a pleasure to meet you (Y/N)-san."

(Y/N):"Nice to meet you to."

Suddenly we all get startled as a lady screams and people move out the way, someone with a knife is running towards Tamura. Out of instinct I jump in the way and push Tamura away, I brace myself to get stabbed but Satoru jumps in the way and gets stabbed himself.

(Y/N):"S-S-Satoru!" I become shocked and my mind goes blank, without realising I walk into oncoming Traffic. As is expected I get hit by a truck.

(A/N):And Truck-kun gains another victim!

I get thrown towards Tamura and land next to Satoru.

Satoru:"(Y/N)... I didn't think we'd die like this..."

(Y/N):"Me neither Satoru..."

We hear Tamura screaming for help as Miho just stands there shocked. I was listening but my ears started ringing.

(Y/N):"If we're reborn, let's be friends again..."

Satoru:"Yeah.."

???:Acquisition of Unique Skill, Soul Link, Succesful.

(Y/N):'What's that voice?' Suddenly I pass out.

Satoru POV

Seeing my best friend die in front of me was terrifying, but I knew it was going to happen to me soon.

Satoru:'It's so hot... I feel like I might burn...'

Satoru:'It's so painful too...'

Satoru:'It's so cold now...'

Satoru:'Man, I wish I was more of a predator in this life, I'm 37 and dying a virgin, that makes me a sage, I was so close to the title of Great Sage...'

Satoru:"Hey, Tamura... Make sure you wipe my hard drive.."

Tamura:"I promise! Senpai!"

My mind goes blank, I then wake up in a void of complete darkness, I attempt to move around but can't feel my arms or legs, or anything for that matter. I can't even see.

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N):"I thought I died? Didn't I get hit by a truck? And why am I in a cave?" I sit up and notice I have a pair of fox ears and a tail. "Wait, did I get reincarnated?"

Great Sage:<<Confirmed, you were reincarnated.>>

(Y/N):"Wait who are you!?"

Great Sage:<<I am the Unique Skill, [Great Sage].>>

(Y/N):"Wait Skill?" 'And why does my tail feel so heavy?' "Ah there's a slime on my tail!" I stand up out of surprise, launching the blue slime at the wall.

Satoru:'AAHHH!!! I just got thrown at a wall by something!'

(Y/N):"Wait who said that?"

Great Sage:<<It was the Slime's thoughts.>>

(Y/N):'Oh, ok. WAIT I CAN HEAR THE SLIME'S THOUGHTS!?'

Great Sage:<<Confirmed, due to your Unique Skill, [Soul Link].>>

(Y/N):'Wait [Soul Link]?'

Great Sage:<<[Soul Link] is your one and only skill that allows you to connect to another being's soul, and you subconsciously used it on the Slime, allowing you access to it's skills, and since I am one of the slime's many skills you now have access to me as well.>>

(Y/N):'Can I undo the link thing?'

Great Sage:<<No. It is permanent.>>

Satoru POV

Satoru:'Damn why did I get thrown at a wall? Wait who am I hearing? Why am I squishy? Wait don't tell me I'm a slime!?'

(Y/N):'Can you shut up! I can hear your thoughts! And you can hear mine!'

Satoru:'Wait you can? Then who's that third voice?'

Satoru:'Skill?'

(Y/N):'Yeah it's kinda a long story... But what's your name, since we're linked by soul due to my skill.'

Satoru:'Oh, I'm Mikami Satoru.'

(Y/N):'Wait Satoru!?'

Satoru:'Who are you? And why are you so surprised!?'

(Y/N):"It's me! (Y/N)!"

Satoru:'(Y/N)!? Why do you have a tail and ears?'

(Y/N):"So I'm pretty sure we reincarnated... And I just so happened to reincarnate like this."

Satoru:'We should probably explore this place, I can't see but I think it's a cave.'

(Y/N):"Yeah it's a cave. Let's go!"

How was my first Chapter? It's literally my first ever story and I think it turned out pretty good! I'm definitely going to be continuing this, and I'm hoping to make the chapters longer but for now!
