What was the difference between a deity and a god? Technically speaking, there wasn't one. The definitions of the two words were the same and therefore they were synonyms. But in practise? They were two different things. Two very different things. Deities are beings born from nothing with the ability to create anything while gods are beings created by deities who hold control over a small aspect of creation. Deities had thousands of names but gods usually only had one or two. But how does Geno know this, you might ask? Well... he kinda had to in order to become Error.

Oh... right, he's skipping a few things there, isn't he? Alright, then let's rewind back to the start for a bit.

🖤

"So... this is the place?" He looked around at the empty space around him. It mostly looked like an endless white void, empty space with flat ground that melted into the horizon and made it hard to tell if you were looking up or down or left or right sometimes. It was only the white clad Sans who was physically in the empty space with the black dove perched on his shoulder being his guide's current form.

"Yes, it is. Welcome to the Anti-Void" The dove spread its darkly coloured wings, feathers flexing and point around to the seemingly empty space "my apologies... it is rather empty but... trash Universes usually look either incredibly empty or filled to the brim so I think this was the best choice"

"Uh... yeah, it's fine I guess. Why exactly do I need to be here though?" They both knew his first few words were just white lies but neither of them chose to acknowledge that fact fortunately. The black dove leapt off and flew up, landing on a wooden perch as it formed infront of Geno.

"The Anti-Void is a trash Universe as I've told you before, it lies on a point where multiple Universes intersect to create a small pocket Universe which can then link to several other similar spaces to form-" it gestured to the white space around them "-this"

"I already know that" Geno muttered with a slight sigh, the amount of white in this place starting to hurt his eyes... or... umm... eye? "You explained what this is a long time ago? I want to know why you brought me here, not what here is"

"Right, right, always straight to it! Anyway, since the Anti-Void connects to multiple different Universes at once it can get a bit... unstable. Thanks to BALANCE's protection, you won't get ripped apart by the Anti-Void but instead it'll change and shift your code around enough to basically create an entirely new being using data from the intersecting Universes in this corner of the Anti-Void"

"Alright... and I need this... why?" Geno asked, rasing an eye at the small black dove

"Because you're a Geno" the dove tried to do some sort of weird shrugging motion with its wings but it ended up looking like some sort of weird dance or something.

"What is that meant to mean?" Geno frowned slightly as those words left the dove's beak.

"Oh- no no no! It's not bad! Just... well, we need an Error" the dove answered "which, you right now aren't"

"I'm assuming Error isn't just a new name then..." Geno sighed but didn't back out his deal. He'd already agreed to become Error and he didn't want to leave or back out that opportunity now he was actually starting to go through with the process.

"Hehe... no, it isn't" the dove laughed sheepishly, pushing itself up and darting into the air to whip around a bit before perching back onto Geno's shoulder "anyway, any more questions before we get started?"

"Well... Yeah, I have a few I guess" Geno admitted, taking the time they were talking to walk further into the endless white that was the Anti-Void.

"Alright! Then ask away" the dove replied happily
