But I couldn't forgive him this easily.

I needed to have some restraint.

He was about to kiss me when I put my hand in between.

"Um I-I don't think I'm ready for that." I answer truthfully.

"No problem, Moonlight, we'll do this your way."

He moved closer and I instinctively moved back, he gave me a small smile and kissed me on the hand that was still on my lips.

I blushed and looked away.

He looked down and I realised I still had his shirt in a death grip.

I quickly released it and I saw that the small area was wrinkled but he didn't seem to mind it.

"I'm sorry. I know you wanted to it's just that this all is very new to me and I-I just got overwhelmed." I started feeling the need to justify myself.

"Hey, Hey, you don't need to explain and what do you mean by you are new to all this? Is this your first ever date, Moonlight?" Kayden asked with an amused look on his face.

"Well, yes, I wanted my experience with my mate to be more special so I waited." I answered.

I was nervously biting on my bottom lip.

A melancholic look passed over his face.

He almost looked guilty.

"Listen, let's play a game. We'll get to know each other as we have our picnic." I offered.

"Okay!" He answered, excited.

He took a sandwich out of the basket and passed it to me.

"So the game is twenty questions, it's fairly simple we both get to ask each other questions and we have to answer truthfully. So, you can start."

"Well, let me think, let's start simple, What's your favourite colour?" He asked.

"White. Yours?"

"Black." He answered.

His answer didn't surprise me.

We really were like yin and yang.

But I guess, opposites attract.

"My turn. What's your dream pet? Mine's a hamster."

"I never really thought about it but I guess I always wanted to own a horse." He answered as he passed me some orange juice.

I was really eating well since the morning, all thanks to him.

"What was your favourite part of our breakfast today?" He asked looking at me curiously.

"Pancakes."

The suspense was killing me and I finally asked him the question that was bugging me.

"How old are you? "

"Twenty." He answered casually eating his sandwich as if he hadn't dropped the biggest truth bomb.

Twenty? Really? He seemed so mature.

My god, I really needed to grow up.

I acted like a child compared to him.

I assumed he was older because he was so responsible.
