How could this happened ?
I stared mindlessly at all surrounding me disappear to dust.
My .... daughter .... she also disappear.
What have I done ?
Initially, I disgusted with corruption and crime of my world, take inspiration of Spider-man and made the serum to give me the same power as my idol. It works, I became vigilante and it works, the corruption reduces and the peace could be maintain. But after so long fight, the price became more expensive, I lose my wife and daughter .... but I found there are many universe and there are universe where I died leaving my family behind, so I thought how about I come to this universe and replace the deceased me ? It's should be harmless right ? After all my fight, shouldn't be this is my reward ?
How naive!
I could only cursed myself because due to my selfish wish, I destroy this universe.
"Uncle Miguel!"
What ? Who shouting my name ? Are there any survivors ?
Not long after this shouting, the crumbling world stop, and suddenly a man manifest in front of myself.
"I would help you once, uncle, but I need your favor"
I stared at my surronding and found whatever this man done, he try to stop the destruction.
"If you could stop this, I will do anything!" I said confidently.
"Don't worry, I have the abilities to stop this, but due to I came across the timeline which my parents have not met yet, I am not in my full power! I need you to find my dad! He would knew how to handle this!"
I stunned, what he's talking about ?
Timeline ? his parents have not met yet ?
Is this man insinuating he came from the future ?
"What are you talking about ? I don't understand!"
"Listen, uncle Miguel, my name is Oscar C. Stacey, Beyonder Spider-man! I need you to go to Earth 42 to meet my father, Orion!"
With world-shattering scream, Oscar shoot uncountable shining spider silk and catch every world crumble and try to fix it
I dumbfound watching this scent .... the title of beyonder spider-man not just a joke! He could be the strongest spider-man ever. After watching how Oscar manage to save this world and found his variant daughter back in his hand, he could only murmur "Thanks, Oscar."
"Uncle Miguel, Please find my father first, due to my power is not in the 100% state, I need to take a rest. He would have an answer for your worries." Just like how he suddenly apper, Oscar suddenly disapper, but I got this, I need to find this Orion.
"Lyla, find information regarding Orion,"
After a moments without reply, I could only sigh, "Please,"
"Noted!"
What troublesome A.I!
I change the setting of my watch to Earth 42 and open the portal. After one last glance to this world and ensure my variant wife and daughter safe, I jump at the portal.
Normal POV
As soon as the star-shaped portal bring them to other universe, Orion immediately catch America. Turn out America portal brings them the sky of different version of New York city, that why Orion could only swing to the nearby building and bring America to the rooftop.
This New York city certainly different from his New Yourk, the city is too dark and the street so empty. There are also hint of high polluted air.
"What you thinking when open this portal, America ?" Orion curiously asked.
America hesitantly answered, "Well after some time in Earth-165 and watching how you maintain the peace in your universe, I just feel pity if there are universe without your kind existence."
Orion hummed and conclude, "It's might be in this universe, there are no Spider-people or the spider-people not competent enough."
After glancing surrounding and found there are some distress in the street, "Wait here a bit, I will deals with some crime. It's waste after arrived here and do nothing"
America nodded and just let Orion swing to the street. She stared at her hand and with full smile could feel the proud on herself that she finally get hold control of her power. She tried again but ... there are no reaction.
After some times, there are no reactions and when Orion came back watching America with awkward pose, he could only ask, "What the problem America ?"
" I co - could not send us back !"
Orion had expected this outcome and could only sigh, "It's no problem. We will take it slow and observe this universe first."
America hesitantly nod, "I'm sorry."
"First, we need to find computer, I will install Little G here." Orion offered hand to America. This gesture familiar enough for her, it's mean that they will travel using spider silk swing. After experienced it many times, America have no problem with this.
Soon, they acquire some simple two-bedroom flat to stay at the night. Mainly it's for America due to Orion spend his nighttime dealing with crime. After 3 days, Orion manage to gain fame of himself and called as Spider-Man in this universe. America have join Orion at the second day and public called her as Magic Girl.
"The criminal in this New York not as bad as my New Yourk, it's maybe due to there are no super heroes existence, so normally there are no super villains," comment Orion while munching burger at the edge of building.
America could only rolled her eyes, due to Orion efficient and effective principle, they often having lunch and dinner on patrol like this.
"Yeah, but the gangster much worse here."
Orion agree. Kingpin in this universe have take full control of the city. The police are useless and full of corruption. He has travelled many places and found that George Stacy variants on this universe had been killed two years ago, which the same time with the rising power of Kingpin. After knowing there are George Stacy here, of course, Orion try to track his family and could not help himself to feel relieved when he learned George quite young, he's not married and don't have any partner, so It's safe to assume there are no Gwen Stacy in this universe.
After done with their dinner, Orion and America prepare themselves to fight crimes again when the portal suddenly open behind them.
"Are you Orion, right ?" Miguel called without his spider-mask.
Orion naturally glance behind and after made sure there are no danger from Miguel also open his mask, "You're right. Who are you ?"
"My name is Miguel O-hara, I am from Earth-928. I came to you because your son told me you have the answer for my worries,"
Only with this sentence, Orion and America shouted with surprise
"YOU'RE FROM ANOTHER EARTH ?"
"WHAT ? ORION YOU HAVE SON ?!"
