Cass's POV

The rest of the day went smoothly.....kinda. There were a few mishaps here and there but I did good overall. At 3:00 exactly, I ran out and climbed into my car, Cadie racing behind me. I  can't wait to get home. I was speeding down the road when I turned the corner and saw a person standing in the road outside of my house. We lived in a secluded area for a reason (*cough* wings *cough*), so I don't know why he was all the way out here. I slammed on the breaks and stopped right before I hit him. I heard Cadie stop behind me, too. I climbed out of the car, fuming. "What the fuck? Why are you-" I started yelling at him but stopping when I saw the blood. "Oh my god. Are you okay? Do you need help? What happened?" I asked. He replied in a shaky voice, "Can I use your phone? I need to call my wife. I was in an accident a few streets away. Please help." I looked at my phone and saw it was dead and looked back at Cadie, who was standing  outside of her car, looking down at her phone and shaking her head. "Umm.. Sir?" I called out to him. "Gregory. Gregory White." He said. "Okay, Mr. White. Both of our phones are dead so I was thiking that we could drive you to my house and you could call from there. Okay?" I asked. He nodded and walked to climb in my car. His hand was shaking the entire time to the house. When we got there, I took him in the house and guided him to the phone. He just looked at it. I looked at Cadie, who was standing behind me, and raised an eyebrow. She just shrugged.

"Mr. White? Do you not know your wife's number?" I asked, getting suspicious. He was familiar but I couldn't remember where he was from. He turned toward me with a smirk on his face. "Well, well, well. The famous Michaels sisters. Who would've thought that they would get so careless?" He asked before pulling out a gun. A hunter! Shit! He aimed at me and fired a bullet. "Cass!!" Cadie yelled. I tried to freeze it with my powers, but it wouldn't work. I braced myself for the pain but it never came. I heard a thump and a groan from in front of me. I smelt the blood in the air and..... No. She wouldn't. She couldn't. Please don't be. I looked down and saw a puddle of blonde, red and pink. He shot again and this time, I didn't care where the bullet went. "No, Cadie. No. Please." I almost broke down into tears.  I heard a click from above me. "Shit." I heard the hunter curse. I stood up and I felt a shift in my clothing and heard  a rip. The hunters eyes widened and he tried to run away. I mumbled a spell and sealed the house from the inside. He couldn't get out. He turned around, grabbed something from the inside of his boot and threw it at me. I felt a sharp pain in my right wing. "Shit." I mumbled to myself, not even looking to see what happened. I walked over and grabbed a gun from the desk next to me and aimed it at him with shaky hands. "Why?" I asked, on the verge of tears. "I-" I shot him before he could answer. I dropped the gun as I felt my wings touch the wall on the other side of the house. I dropped to my knees and cried. Thunder rumbled outside and rain fell. It was a side effect of being a witch. No emotion control equals natural occurrence. But it wasn't natural. "Cadie. Please. Wake up. I need you. I love you. Please come back." I sobbed. The bullet had hit her in the neck, killing her immediately. I cradled her head and rocked back and forth. Everybody around me dies.

"AARON!!!" I yelled, knowing he could hear me. Aaron is what you would call a guardian, except for the fact that he is a demon. The good kind, I guess. He shimmered in and gasped at what he saw. I never cry, so that was a first. There was a dead body in the kitchen and he saw his dead girlfriend of 7 years cradled in my arms. "Cadie?" He whispered, his eyes tearing up. " Oh my god, Cadie. No." He ran over to her and dropped next to me. Aaron is like my brother. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. It's all my fault." I kept repeating over an over as I rocked myself back and forth. He looked over at me and stopped my rocking. "It's not your fault. It's that bastard hunter's." He said forcefully.  I rested my head on her shoulder and cried. Hard. Rain fell herder outside and lightning struck the Earth. We stayed like that for a while, I didn't keep track of time before Aaron stood up. "We have to have a burial." He said. "You get her cleaned up and I'll dig the hole." No. We are doing this right. We are having a service and she is going to be buried next to my parents in our mausoleum." I said, as I got up and called our funeral home.
