3rd Person POV
The last couple of weeks have been emotionally and physically exhausting for Keefe Sencen.
Their most recent battle against Neverseen leaving the girl he loved, Sophie Foster, gravely injured. So far, she was in the healing center, on heavy sedation for four weeks, leaving her unaware of how much Keefe missed her.
"Sophie," he said as his vision became blurry with tears, "wake up for your friends." No reaction. " Wake up for Grady and Edaline." Then again, no response. In a last ditch attempt, he said the words he had been wanting to say since the day he met her, wandering the halls, covered in alchemy goo. " I love you Sophie. You are beautiful, smart, and kind. Will you please wake up for me?"
Her eyes din't open, but a mumbled "I love you too" came out of her lips.
He hugged the girl with all his might, silently vowing to protect her with all her strength, whatever the cost.
(Elwin saw this whole spectacle, his heart bursting for the two strong willed teens.)
