We are very regretful to have to inform you of this dreadful fact by letter and not in person as I would have liked. The situation deserves to be said urgently, but with the events seen in this atrocious war, we do not summon you to the Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons due to the risks to which you could be subjected on the trip.
Yesterday, April 21, 1996, hours after celebrating his seventeenth birthday. Beauxbâtons had the misfortune of being ambushed by Death Eaters. Ambush in which the young Hope Andromeda Lupin was seized from the school, being reported as one more student among the many disappeared that this institution had to suffer. Students and teachers say they saw Bellatrix Lestrange, Fenrir Greyback, Antonin Dolohov and Bartemius Crounch Jr. among others. And that particularly Miss Lestrange was taking an unconscious Lupin to a carriage of Death Eater origin, never to be seen again. I am reporting this to you because of your past connections to some of the aforementioned perpetrators.
There is no easy way to digest this information. I only advise you to surround yourself with family or close friends and try to find relief.
