"You look happier than usual, huh?" Kyler asked his friend, who was all smiles that morning. June recalled what had happened the previous night, making him squeal and causing Kyler to flinch at the sound.

"Did something good happen to you last night?"

"You know... I thought my heart would remain broken, but I never thought it would be healed and fluttering again..." June said, his expression a mix of dreaminess and sadness.

"Don't tell me... you're in love?!" Kyler exclaimed.

"Shhhh!" June slapped his arm, making Kyler wiggle his brows. "So, who's the lucky guy? Huh? Who is it? Whoooo??"

As Kyler grew more curious, June simply stuck his tongue out at him. "I'm not going to tell you."

"What the fuck?! June, come on!" Kyler whined.

_

June was somewhat waiting for Chicago to text him, but to his disappointment, he never received a message. However, he had to understand that Chicago could be very busy with his work.

As it was currently 6:09 pm, June asked Kyler if he could go to Chicago's apartment, which Kyler happily agreed to, tagging along.

June had brought food with him, food that he had cooked himself, as he knew Chicago must have been very tired.

When they reached the apartment and knocked on the door, there was no response. It was possible that Chicago was still at work, but sometimes he got off early. "Knock, knock! Your friend is waiting outside! CHI TO THE CA TO THE GO-"

"Shh!" June shushed him, making Kyler smack his lips, showing that he would indeed keep quiet this time.

June knocked again, but there was still no response. He let out a sigh before his hand trailed down to the doorknob. To his surprise, it opened, and he looked at Kyler, who shrugged in confusion.

As they pushed the door open, the inside was awfully quiet, with no lights turned on. June's brows furrowed when he saw Chicago's shoes in the corner, but the apartment seemed empty.

As Kyler stepped inside, he announced, "We brought Chicago pizza! Your favorite!"

June rolled his eyes and his gaze darted towards the bedroom door, while Kyler placed the food containers on the kitchen counter.

June walked towards the bedroom door and knocked softly, but there was no response.

"Chicago..." he called out.

He twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open.

June's eyes widened, and he let out a horrified scream at the scene before him.

Pool of blood stained on the white bedcover as Chicago lay there lifelessly, blood on his stomach and a slit on his neck.

Kyler came rushing in, "What's wrong!?" He almost dropped to the floor when he saw the horrifying sight of his friend.
