Steve is in his room, decorating it. His parents are out of town as he made sure of with a mischievous plan to have the house all for himself.
For him and Billy.
"Ok, ok..." Steve's tongue is peaking out as he tries to carefully place the seashells on the wall.
He used an old bra and painted it which got him only two handmade, uncanny seashells. He placed them on top of a blue silk dress he tore apart from his mother's closet. Glued on his four walls all the rubber ducks he could find around his house.
Around the room's lightbulb, Steve wrapped a yellow pillowcase from the guest room.
He stands under it, hands on his hips, "this... Is not how I thought it'd look like--"
The doorbell rings, which startles Steve. Like a tornado, he goes around his room, aggressively throwing things out of the way. The doorbell rings again.
"Coming!" He leaves his room in a rush. As he goes down the stairs, he takes off his shirt, then his pants. He was wearing beach shorts underneath. He runs to the guest bathroom and checks his hair one last time. He winks at himself in the mirror before he's interrupted by the doorbell again.
"Shit, right-" he runs to the door, and when he opens it, he sees Billy.
"Hey-- oh," Billy's surprised by Steve's outfit. "Am I overdressed?" He takes a last hit from his cigarette before dropping it.
"Please,..." He tilts his head to the side, almost like he's melting, "you look so good..." He pulls from Billy's brown leather jacket, bringing him in and right after he closes the door, Steve rushes to kiss his lover. His lips are eager against Billy's as he takes him to the wall across the door. The dirty blonde means to laugh but he's eager too, so he kisses him back, just as strongly.
"I..." Steve takes a breath, connecting his forehead with Billy's. "I have a surprise for you..."
Billy touches his lip with his thumb, "do you now?"
Steve nods, he's excited. "It's upstairs." He gets closer to Billy, close enough to whisper into his ear, "in my room..."
Billy looks down as he feels Steve's cool breath on his skin. He frowns as his eyes meet Steve's.
"Ok, pretty eyes. Let's see what you got..." He smirks, he's curious.
Steve asks for Billy's hand as he takes one step up. Billy gives in and Steve leads the way.
"Nice outfit..." he says as Steve's ass is right in front of his face.
"Shut up," Steve chuckles. "Should've gone with the blindfold," he whispers.
"Kinky." Billy laughs.
When they get to Steve's door, he turns to Billy. It may look silly. But know, I wanted you to feel at home." Steve swallows hard before opening his door.
Billy is somewhat concerned and confused. When the door is open and he looks at the room, he loses his breath.
"Steve..." Billy walks into the room, trying to take a closer look. He chuckles as he sees the rubber ducks. He notices the word "Cali" painted in black in top of the Blue silky fabric. His eyes are quickly filled with tears, he looks back at Steve who now has three dots of sunscreen over his cheeks and nose.
"I'm sorry I couldn't take you to California... I thought I could try and bring some of it to you."
"Steve,..." He takes a step towards Steve, "I love it." He's troubled with words.
Steve's cheeks go up, "you do?"
"How can I not, you did this..."
Seeing Billy teary eyed is making Steve teary eyed too. He goes to his night stand to take something from the drawer. He takes it and hold it tight before opening his hand for Billy to see.
"What? You planned more?" Billy can't hide his smile. He's happy. His finger runs through Steve's face, messing the sunscreen. He laughs and Steve does too.
Steve opens his hand, Billy looks down and his expression changes. Steve is holding out a condom.
"Happy birthday, Billy."
