I began to run away from him as tears streamed down my face. I wasn't planning on looking back, although, I could hear him calling my name, telling me to come back. As I reached the edge of the woods I stopped and looked back, not thinking. I saw him coming my way so I quickly took off deep into the woods.
I ran down to the bottom of the hill, and then even deeper into the woods. Pushing my way past low tree branches, I could feel the sting of cuts along my body. I began following the narrow, overgrown trail, and found my way to the creek.
The creek really looks beautiful this time of year. The soft, green grass next to the beautifully clear water is a breath taking scene... Plus, the gentle sounds of the water flowing down the creek is quite peaceful. I just love coming here to relax and just get away from everything...and everyone.
After a few moments of catching my breath I realized I need to check around to make sure he hasn't found me. I take a look around and peek around the trees and make sure the bushes were back as they were before I hurriedly came here. I sighed out of relief then picked a nice looking spot to sit on the comfy grass.
I pulled out my phone to see the screen which read, "4 Missed Calls from Zander" and "10 New Texts from Zander". Then, before I even had time to do anything the phone lit up. "Call from Zander". I chewed my lip thoughtfully for a moment, debating whether I should answer the call or not... I don't think I should... I turned my phone off and decided that'd be best.
After a few minutes of observing the creek I laid back and looked up at the sky. A few stars were peeking out from the dimly lit sky. I yawned and just laid there watching the sky and listening to the gentle creek, and before I knew it, sleep had overcome me...
