3rd person's POV
Kacey was spray painting in an alley as a cop car pulled up. She threw the can and ran as the officer ran after her. The officer tackled her down. She fell and groaned in pain. As the officer arrested her, she got brought to the station. Carlos watches as the other officer brings her in. He sighed and groans as he followed them.
"What happened this time?" He asked.
"Graffiti." the other officer mentioned as he handcuffed her to the seat.
"I'll take care of this one." Carlos said, uncuffing her and taking her to his desk.
"Really, Kacey again?" He said, clenching his jaw.
"So what is there to do around here? You're always here, and I'm not old enough to enlist yet." She said, looking at him, frustrated.
"You can maybe stay home and read on those medical books Michelle brought you." He said.
Kacey groaned and started to get up. Carlos pulled her back down into the seat as he leaned in closer.
"I'm not done with you yet." He whispered into her ear.
Kacey bit her lip and sighed. Carlos got up, pulling her with him. "I'm taking her home." He announced.
They both got into Carlos' car as he pulled her in close and started kissing her neck. As he pulled away, Kacey wrapped her arms around his neck as she kissed him on the lips. Carlos pulled away and looked her in the eyes as she looked away.
"You're not telling me something?" He asked curiously.
"What, no, I have told you everything." She says, still looking away.
"So tell me why you keep looking away and all the throwing up in the mornings?" Carlos asked.
Kacey gulped and didn't tell him anything. She just kept her mouth shut so she wouldn't say a thing. Kacey knew what was happening. She had missed her periods the last two months, along with throwing up everything the last three weeks. Carlos started to drive home as Kacey sat in silence. She didn't know what to say or do. She was afraid to tell her Basic General cause he would tell her that she wasn't eligible anymore. She knew she needed to tell Carlos soon. He dropped her off at home as she got inside with him following. Kacey pulled out her phone.
Kacey
Carlos, I'm scared of telling you. Can we get a few pregnancy tests?Carlos
Yes, may I ask why, or is that an answer for laterKacey
A later answer.Carlos left the house to run to the store really quickly, as he returned to the house and gave Kacey what she asked for. He sat outside the bathroom door, waiting on her. Kacey took the first test as she set it down. She pulled out the second test and took it as well. She decided to take the last one just to be sure and put it down on the counter as she slowly opened the door and sat on the floor of the bathroom. They both waited for each test to finish. Kacey grew more nervous the longer they sat. Carlos got up and flipped over one test as Kacey put her head between her knees. The test had a bold line and a faint second line 'positive'. He flipped the second one over two bold lines 'positive'. As he started to flip over the third one, Kacey got up and stood behind him as he flipped it. The test read 'positive' in bold letters. Kacey broke down, sobbing on the floor of the bathroom behind Carlos and against the door. Carlos crouched down to her level and hugged her, bringing her closer to him.
"It's okay, Kacey." He said, rubbing her back.
"Carlos, we aren't ready for this. You're 19, and I'm 17." Kacey said with tears rushing down her face.
"Hey. Hey. Hey. it's okay, I swear. You are going to be a great mom, and I'm gonna be a good dad." Carlos said, wiping away tears.
Carlos held Kacey in his arms, comforting her as Michelle and Iris came in. Iris walked over, trying to be a good friend and comforting her as well. Michelle walked over and saw the tests on the counter and gasped as she crouched down to the couple and hugged them. Kacey looked up at her friends and boyfriend.
"Thank you, guys." She said, sniffling.
Carlos kissed her on the head and smiled. Iris smiled and nodded.
"You're welcome, sweetheart." Michelle said with a smile.
