The Onion and the Mango (Ch. 1)

500 years ago, in a universe, far far away, Fruitinore. A universe, full of Vegetables and Fruits that have grown through war, hardship, and more. It all started a very long time ago when the Veggies took control of the world, hurting fruits, murdering them, and leaving them to suffer through agony and pain, no matter how hard the fruits tried to fight back, they could never make an effort to. Until one day, a fruit and a vegetable were both in love, they hid together from the war going on, for years they were together, hiding from everything outside and gathering food for each other.

A mango and an onion, hiding from the world together, were so in love that not even the war could separate them. They lived in a hidden cave with a campfire, and the onion usually went hunting to bring back food as the mango would take care of things at home. Their love was so powerful, nothing could ever get them away from each other, until one day.

As usual, Onion went to get some more supplies because they were running low. Mango was cooking dinner at home when she saw the door start to open slowly.

"Onion? You're back already?" nobody responded. Mango just thought it was Onion, but what was waiting ahead of her would be pure terror. A carrot opened the door, finding Mango alone. Mango dropped the pan out of fear as a vegetable soldier was in front of her eyes.

"P-please, don't hurt me!" she said in fear, but it did nothing. The Carrot just stared at her silently and then started walking toward her, Mango got cornered as her life was flashing between her eyes, and then she started screaming. "O...ONION!!!!!!" and then her screams went silent, Carrot's job was done and he took his leave. Onion came back unexpecting her body on the floor

"Hey, Mango! I got everything we-" He dropped the supplies he had in his hand. "MANGO!" he came running towards her in a panic, he grabbed her body and yelled at her to wake up, he started hugging her lifeless body and his eyes began to get watery.

"M-MANGO! P-PLEASE..! P-please..y-you're kidding with me..r-right..? MANGO!" realization began to come to him, that she was gone, there was no future. his eyes became dull, and then he started crying so badly, he rested his head on her chest while crying his eyes out for what could be forever, the only fruit he has ever loved in this entire broken world was gone, he was full of emotions that all hurt him in every way possible, looking at his most loved ones lifeless body, broke him. He cried for hours until his last tear dropped down onto her eyes. It glowed through love. Their bodies began to glow together, it was like a big orb of light. 

It glowed through the cave, and all of Fruitinore witnessed this beam of light glowing from the cave, shining through the sky, it was so powerful. The power of true love between a Vegetable and a Fruit after years of war, impacted this universe. Onion and Mango were chosen, they inspired everyone with their love. They both turned into the Onango Gods, they made a separation between the Vegetables and the Fruits and split them up together, they avenged the warriors who died during the war, Fruitinore was split in half as one side was for the Fruits to live and the other was for the Vegetables to live!

Everyone was electrified, everyone was relieved that this war could finally be over and everyone could live with their families. They all built their own villages and worlds through growth and friendship, but this...This never meant the war was over, the deceased warriors from years ago who were never put to peace or avenged, will come back for vengeance. This never ended the grudge between the Fruits and Vegetables, the past will someday come back to haunt us all, the Onango never gave peace to every life lost, and those forgotten lives, are here to come back for us all, But who knows what's ahead of us? 

The grape who seems to be in her early 40s, closes the book in her hand "And that's the history of Fruitinore everybody!" The grape says
"Hey! You left us on a cliffhanger!" one of the younger baby fruits exclaims "I really wanted to know what you meant by our future!"
The Grape laughed back at that "Well, there's not really a...cliffhanger, this is based on history and true events! Why would there be a cliffhanger?" The class bell rang and all the kids were sent out of their class. 

"Hmm, the Onango huh? There must be more than just that...I need to know more!" a tiny berry said to herself quietly, walking out of the class with her books and a pen pushing against her lips. Berry mumbles to herself "I'm so interested, how does that even happen? It can't just be because of love, there has to be more that we're missing! I need to figure out the truth, There's something that just doesn't add up...The-" Berry gets pushed and cut off on the mumbled words she was speaking to herself.

"Hey, freak!" A young banana yells at her. Bananas have always had a tendency to be rude and often a bully, Berry was a victim in this case.
Berry exclaims "Banana...Would you just leave me alone, please? Why do you do this every day, don't you have better things to spend your time on?"
"Nah, you get so mad, it's honestly entertaining, nerd." the banana says while laughing
"I'm done with this." Berry sprints away from Banana in a rush to get away from him
"Hey..HEY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING? COME BACK!" the Banana yells at her as she sprints away "Urgh, that Berry, how dare she sprint away from me? She's gonna regret that next time I see her, nobody makes a fool out of me." Banana mumbles to himself in an upset manner


Berry hops in her mom's car. "How was your day today sweetheart?" Berrymom asks. 
"Well we learned about the Onango, I need to figure out more about the Onango, it can't be just that, I know of it! Just love could cause all that? No way."
Berrymom looks confused, but she played along because she knew Berry is a very passionate fruit.

This was the start of Berry's adventure, to find out the truth about the Onango, who knows what lies ahead of her? This was a brand-new start and we're going to venture with Berry through it.
