The protagonist is living her(his) life normally when she is suddenly captured by humans, then two things can happen
1º She(he) ends up stopping at a zoo, only in this zoo has illegal things in them, in this part you writers who decide { just do not put something too bizarre }, which after a while ends up being closed because of these illegal things, but the protagonist ends up in another zoo but one that is more "nicer" but because of the things she (he) went through in the old zoo She (he) does not trust anyone
2º the protagonist ends up in a cool zoo but she(he) has a past that has already made her(him) suspicious of humanss
But things you have to have in both of them is, obviously, the fact that the protagonist fights QUITE, QUITE A LOT, attack anyone she can get their hands or Paws on, and she(he) refuses to eat for fear of whatever, having some kind of drug for example
If the protagonist is a marine being it may be an aquarium, but the ideas of what has to happen are the same
the protagonist can also end up in a lab, a bad one, and they get rescued and brought to a rehab center, and it depends if they want to stay there or go back to the wild
