"Are they the only ones who survived?" Her voice quivered, with a sense of guilt and worry. "What have I done..." Her voice turned brittle. "I'm sorry... I'll let you live. Please, live a good life."
Your Pov
The same old day started again. It's been getting boring. The same old chirping from the birds, the same people greeting me hello, and the same buildings I go to daily. I got my bag, as I walked out of my house. But as soon as I did, the grass below me turned red. I watched my surroundings, as people seemed to be falling. I felt my hands shake in fear, as I dropped my bag. Without hesitation, I started running away from the blood-turned grass. Although I ended up reaching a dead end, as I fell through the grass into an endless void of black.
"Save me." I said, as I closed my eyes, accepted my fate, and took what I thought would be my last breath.
But was the fate I thought of truly my destiny? Not exactly.

I woke up, on what seemed to be a mattress with barely any stuffing on it left. My backs as sore, and so were my legs. But I don't mind, I'd much prefer suffering this pain rather than facing death. I pulled myself to sit up, as my eyes were quite blurry. I rubbed them, but they continued to be blurry.
"Keith! You can't just bring a random person into our hide out! What if they're a monster hidden as a human?" I heard a girl's voice yell out. "They needed help you heartless monster! Don't you have a sense of empathy?" A guy yelled back at her. "Don't you have a sense of survival?" She continued yelling.
"Can you guys quiet down? I just woke up, and I'm greeted by 2 angry people fighting with each other. I'm very offended by the way, I don't think I look like a monster. In fact, I am not a monster" I tried to quiet down the 2. I heard a nervous laugh come from the girl, as my eyes finally came in focus. "I am very sorry. I'm Yura Reinshot, I'm 19, and I've got time magic." She said, as she held her hand out to help me stand up.
"And I'm Keith Iridyne, 17, and I have light magic. Cool right? Bet you can't do this." Keith said, as he started kicking very swiftly as if he had multiple legs. "Hold on. You're giving me a headache." I said, as he apologized. "Where am I exactly? And what's with the magic thing?" I asked, as Yura and Keith exchanged confused glances. "You're in Redthorn." Yura explained. "Redthorn? Is this a city? A region? A country?" I continued asking. "Aside from the scars on your skin, did you get amnesia too?" Keith asked me, as I sighed.
"I'm not from this world." I said, as Keith and Yura exchanged worried glances. "I won't ask any questions." Yura said, with her eyebrows furrowed. She seemed to be worried, and frustrated at the same time while Keith seemed to be neutral.
"Anyways, we have a limited amount of daylight left. I'll be heading out to hunt. Keith, show them around our hide out." Yura said, as Keith smiled. "No problem. Have a safe hunt." He said, as Yura sighed and walked away from the both of us.
Keith then pulled my arm, as we entered what seemed to be a hide out in a cave. "Welcome to our small, but humble hide out! Not much to show though. Kitchen's in the left tunnel, my room and Yura's are in the right. You can sleep in- uh- well... Maybe by the campfire tonight? We donkt really have extra rooms." Keith explained. The cave was silent, and only the sound of crackling fire could be heard. It was dark, and even the brightest of lanterns couldn't have been able to fill the entire cave. In the entrance, there seemed to be a campfire in the middle. There also seemed to be 2 connecting tunnels inside the cave.
"Now, sit down." Keith said, as we both sat down on the logs surrounding the fireplace. "Planateria has been invaded... By mutated animals, and possibly plants and humans too. That's why it's best you stay with me and Yura; to keep you safe. There's 2 regions in Planateria: Detri, and Tatarunta. Detri is home to the thriving forests of Planateria. Detri has always been a region that focused on nature. On the other hand, Tatarunta is the progressive City which is filled with businesses, and some of the richest people in Planateria. Me and Yura aren't rich though, just humble people in the world. Right now, you're in Redthorn. The capital of Tatarunta. Also, where the invasion was theorized to have started. Got any good fighting skills?" Keith explained, and asked, as I looked at him nervously. "Fighting is my weak spot." I said, as Keith sighed. "This'll be one long training session." Keith said, as I was confused. "Training?" I questioned, as he giggled mischievously. "Until Yura comes back, I'll teach you how to wield a sword... Since you don't have magic, I'll only teach you how to use weapons. Just the basics though, Yura's like- the master of weapons." He said, as he pulled me out of the cave.
