After that bloody afternoon
This life that is lived,
is not enjoyed nor pleasured,
but hated with a passion of fury.
Evil lurks in the shadows,
waiting to jump out and say "BOO!",
scare us straight out of our socks,
and laugh as we boo-hoo.
The niave are close-minded and young,
for they do not see the bad,
within the cold eyes of the old
that trudged on and on.
Our children walk this planet - which is called Earth,
aloof and satisfied with the cakes
that their mother made
in the kitchen of that afternoon sun.
But as the Big Ben ticks on,
our lives die off and so does the child inside us.
They will open their eyes,
and will not see blue skies or white elephant clouds,
but gray skies and thunder storms that roar oh so loudly.
Tick-tock, where did the young child go?
Tick-tock, who is this beautiful woman standing before me?
Watch the clock carefully,
do not drink unknown substances,
or kill off innocent souls,
for your life will end sooner than you know.
