When Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus met each other for the first time, they all knew they would have a special connection. Julien had assembled Phoebe and Lucy as her opening acts for her tour on purpose; she knew they would be good friends. Maybe, at the time, she wanted to ask one or even both of them out, but she knew she couldn't execute that. She thought she was much less attractive than Phoebe and Lucy.

Now, with the place Julien is in, on stage in front of thousands of people watching Lucy and Phoebe kiss, she knew she should've just asked one of them. They were far more intimate than her, but she wanted more romantic, as some would say, moments with them. The fans cheered on the girls, who were now basically making out on Lucy's chair. They looked so happy, so free, and Julien didn't want to ruin anything so she just continued to play guitar. She soon found herself awkwardly standing there, as her guitar part ended, and Phoebe sat on Lucy's lap.

Phoebe was relatively close to Julien, and she noticed something might be wrong when she started standing weirdly. Phoebe got up, took a few steps, and grabbed Julien's arm to drag her into Lucy's lap. Julien landed on her lap in shock, not knowing what could possibly happen next, until Lucy's lips landed on her cheek and Phoebe's lips touched hers. Lucy wrapped her arms around the girl sitting on her lap and Julien started turning red. The crowd was screaming bloody murder (in gay ofc), and everyone was shocked, including all the people on stage. Lucy was shocked two pretty girls were basically sitting on her. Phoebe was shocked that she wasn't horny yet, mainly because she was straddling two hot girls on a chair (she probably jinxed herself). Julien couldn't even process what was happening, everything was overloading and she was barely able to reciprocate anything to either Phoebe or Lucy. She whimpered quietly, which caused Phoebe to pull away.

The second Phoebe pulled away and Julien opened her eyes, they all knew they would have something to talk about later. They continued their performance after that, but it didn't seem like what would usually happen during their shows. It seemed a bit more tense, and maybe less physically intimate. They were good at hiding their feelings from the crowd, and the crowd continued to believe this show was completely in the norm.

As soon as the show ended, and they all left the stage, they went into their dressing room. Nobody else followed, nobody dared to enter the room. They put a "DO NOT DISTURB (unless required to)" warning on their door. It was just a quickly handwritten message from one of the girls, most likely Julien based on the writing, on a blank piece of paper, likely ripped out of a sketchbook or notebook.

They all stared at each other, debating on whether or not they should actually talk or just make out again. When one of them finally decided to speak up, all the others did as well.

"Well--"

"I--"

"How--"

They all paused again, looking at the others to start what they were saying again. There were still a few moments of silence, but Lucy decided to start her statement again.

"Well, I don't really know what happened on stage tonight, but I feel like we either need to stop being that intimate on stage or start being more intimate off stage. Maybe even both, but if we don't do anything about it, we'll continue to confuse ourselves and our audience. I don't want them to think we're queerbaiting them – well we are queer – but you know, like fake ass relationships that aren't authentic. I don't want that to become us." Lucy stated, knowing that might've been too much. "Anyone want to add something to that or start the other conversation we might need to have?"

"I wanted to say that even before the shows as a group, I might've liked you both. I don't know if that's changed or not since then, but I also want to say I love you guys and I think you two should make the decision. I'm fine with anything that gets chosen as long as you two are comfortable." Julien replied, starting the conversation nobody wanted to start, and revealing something she would've never admitted all those six or seven years before. She definitely stuttered a lot while saying it, but tried to act cool.
