Evelyn knocked on the door to the guidance office. She had gotten a job as a math teacher at the high school and today was sign up day Liam had forgotten his phone at Scott's house after the last pack meeting and the alpha had asked Evelyn to drop it off. Sorry she said as the new  guidance counselor opened the door I'm looking for Liam Dunbar. Evelyn Liam said standing up. Hey Liam you left this at Scott's house last night he asked me to give it to you when I came in today she said. How do you two know each other the guidance counselor asked. Oh um Liam is a family friend Evelyn said and I've taught him for the last few years he's a good student just needs an extra push sometimes. I'm Evelyn Argent by the way I'm the math teacher my classroom is just down the hall. Tamora Monroe the counselor said. Well I've got to go Liam pick what feels right for you Evelyn said walking away. Bye Liam said.

Evelyn ran across the hall back to her classroom from the bathroom as she heard screaming. Why does this keep happening to our school she heard Sydney yell. She looked into the room to see it full of rats. A man stood in the doorway and Evelyn felt a weird connection to him like she knew him but didn't. He turned walking away but Evelyn barely noticed as Liam and Mason arrived. It looks like we're going to need a book on rats to Mason said. You two go find out where they're coming from I'll help out here Evelyn said Liam nodded turning and walking away what are you going to do Mason asked I'm going to trap the rats Evelyn told him. After Mason had walked away Evelyn turned back to the students. OK I need everyone to calm down she said I'm going to get some other teachers and we're going to try and trap some of the rats but you screaming makes them run more so I need everyone to be quiet. Evelyn walked away grabbing one of the janitors who grabbed all the rat traps he had. In a matter of minutes they had many of the rats caught. OK Evelyn called out I'm going to come around to each of you and help you down I need you to stay calm.

Evelyn bolted upright suddenly rembering something. No she whispered. She slipped out of the classroom it was dark outside and she knew she was one of the few people that would be in the school at night after everything that happened at the school most people were too afraid but to Evelyn it was just normal. She walked over to the guidance office only to find it was locked. It's probably nothing she told herself. You're making a big deal out of nothing you need sleep she muttered walking back to her classroom. She gathered her stuff planning on going home. She down the hall to to see Parrish talking to the man from earlier. Jordan what's going on she asked. I'm the same as you you the man said walking closer. OK then what are you here for Parrish asked stepping in front of Evelyn both knowing that even though she could fight well she was no match for a hellhound. What are you protecting he asked walking forward. Or is it something you're hunting Parrish asked. She knows the other hellhound said pointing to Evelyn she can feel it. What do you mean Evelyn asked and yet she knew the irrational feeling that they were under threat when everything was fine that she had been feeling for days something was coming something big. She turned as she heard the sound of a door opening. Liam Mason she whispered instinctively moving to position herself between them and the hellhounds something you let out the new one said. It must be stopped he said. Is he talking to you Mason asked Liam. I hope not the beta said. Get behind me Liam told Mason as the two hellhounds began to fight. Wait that's a Mason started. Hellhound Evelyn said. Jordan Evelyn shouted wanting to move but afraid to leave the boys as the second hellhound threw the deputy across the hall worry coursed through her when he didn't get back up. Run Liam shouted. Wait I'm not leaving you Mason said. No he's a hellhound Run Liam said. As Evelyn pulled out her expandable compound bow from her bag a gift from her father for her last birthday. Liam flicked out his claws growling. We can't beat him but we can slow him down Evelyn said loading an arrow. The two began to fight the hellhound. Liam Evelyn yelled as the hellhound trapped him against the lockers. If the wild hunt couldn't keep you then nothing can he growled. No the hellhound said no it's not you. Mason ran forward before Evelyn could react trying to hit the hellhound with Stiles's bat the creature grabbed the bat melting a hand impression into it. He pulled it out of Mason's hands before hitting him with it sending him flying. Mason Evelyn shouted rushing to the teen she knelt down next to him as Liam began to fight the hellhound again. It won't stay hidden the hellhound said after sliding to the ground injured. He turned to Evelyn ask your grandmother little fae she's dealt with it before. Evelyn dragged Mason over to Liam. Just like you she thought she could save everyone he said. Yeah well she's dead Evelyn spat. It must be stopped the hellhound said nothing else matters.

Evelyn looked down at the year book in front of her it's just a coincidence she muttered the guidance counselor she looked just like the woman in the dream she'd had almost two years ago the dream that had made her leave Derek the one she had convinced herself was just a dream. It's just a coincidence she muttered. Yet she could still vividly see the woman talking to Gerard and the mass of bodies surrounding her all of her friends the whole pack dead.
