"Ughhhh" I groaned loudly as I turned off my alarm. [6:00 am]. I got up and went to go brush my teeth and my hair. I looked over to my shower. 'Should I take a shower or not? I mean it's cold today. ugh' "fine" I grumbled.
I stripped off my pj's and threw them at the basket of dirty clothes. 'Damn I need to wash my clothes... eh I'll do it later, right now I gotta go to school and get a job. WHYYYY?'I sighed and entered and shampoo my hair thinking about what I was going to eat later.
I got out of the shower and went over to my closet and picked out some clothes.

I decided I was going to wear a short white plaid skirt, with dark blue leggings, a light blue T-shirt with some dark brown Uggs. 'Eh this will do' I went over and grabbed my phone wallet and placed them inside my blue jean-ish bag, and my keys and walked outside. I inhaled the fresh air, 'Ah yes, the scent of rain and air pollution if only air pollution didn't exist...' I went over and got into my car checking the time to see if I was late. [7:02 am] "I've got time" (from the Incredibles movie? When Bob chooses to get the robber instead of going to the wedding early? No?.... Ok I'll stop)

"Damn I didn't eat breakfast, Siri where can I get coffee?" "There is a place called 'The Jasmine Dragon' Near you 8 minutes away"

"Cool get me directions please" As Siri gave me directions I started to zone out as I drove over to the coffee place I heard.

(Zuko's POV)

I woke up groggily rubbing my eyes and running a hand through my hair. I looked over to my phone to check the time [5:23 am]
'7 minutes before my alarm rang, that's a new record'  I got up from my bed and went straight to the shower to wash some of my sweat and stickiness "Why am I sweating so much?" I shrugged it off as I entered the shower. The cold water hit my warm skin, splashing over my body. I rinsed my shampoo off and got out of the shower. I walked over to my bed and put on a white button-up shirt leaving 2 open, and some black jeans with black Converse.

I went to grab my backpack and put my keys and wallet and red apron for work. I plugged in my earphones and played 'Could you be loved -by Bob Marley and The Wailers' I decided to walk to work today due to the weather being moist. Though I preferred sunny days I also loved cloudy days. "Don't let them change ya, Or rearrange ya, Oh no!"  'Funny how familiar that sounds to my life' I chucked at my sad life ( A/N Sorry Zuko 💀)

I looked up and saw that my uncle's tea shop was open already. I entered the shop saying good morning to my uncle. "Good morning Uncle" "Oh Zuko, I didn't see you, good morning to you too," He said as he had a warm smile. 'How do people wake up with a smile on their face this early???' I looked over to the window and saw a help-wanted poster. "Are we hiring uncle?" I asked him as he was grabbing some coffee beans."Yes, I thought it could brighten you up and you could get new friends, and maybe you'll get to be with a girl your age~" Uncle said as he was wiggling his eyebrows at me. "Uh- no, and second I don't have time to be dating!" I responded this ruining my mood. "If you say so!~" I just rolled my eyes, thinking about uncle's words 'and besides nobody would want to date a guy with a scar on his face'

(Katara's POV)

"Took you long enough" I mumbled under my breath as I unbuckled my seat belt. Once I got out of my car I looked at the coffee/Tea shop and to be honest it was vintage and cozy. "Not bad, Not bad" I looked over to the window and saw that there was a 'Help Wanted' sign. 'Oh, Let me ask about the job later I could use the money. And besides rent is in 2 weeks so I guess I should start working *sigh*'

I walked into the shop and a nice jasmine and coffee smell filled the air. I inhaled the warm smell as I stood waiting in line. I was looking up at the Menu deciding which coffee I should buy not knowing that I was already at the front. "Hmm, the cappuccino sounds good eh" I talked to myself. "I would recommend adding some Milk foam it makes it sweeter" The unknown voice spoke. I looked down to see who was talking and I saw a boy around my age, with jet-black hair, amber eyes, and a red scar on one side of his face. He was wearing a white button-up shirt and a red apron that said "The Jasmine Dragon". He had white-as-snow skin, almost looking like snow white with his hair. He had a small tint of pink on his nose and cheeks. 'Must be the cold'

"Oh hi! Sorry didn't see you there, I guess I was zoned out" I said nervously giggling."Oh, it's ok! So, what would you like to order at The Jasmine Dragon Today? Where are you thinking of the cappuccino? It is today's special." He responded. I was thinking about it whether I should get the Cappuccino or an Affogato. "Uh, I think I'll get the Cappuccino with the milk Foam!" I said smiling at him warmly making his cheeks tint more pinkish. "U-Um sure, Would that be all?"
"Mhm," I nodded smiling. "Okay, your order number will be 28, thank you for shopping at The Jasmine Dragon!" He said smiling handing me the receipt making our hands touch, Making my cheeks blush. "T-Thanks," I said as I turned on my heels and quickly sat down at my table. 'Why am I stuttering?! I haven't been like this since Jet' I cringed at the word Jet. He was my crush back In 9th Grade. I'm now in college happy that I never saw him again. 'shiit that coffee boy is cute'

I was scrolling through TikTok watching some videos when my order is finally called. "Order 28 for Katara!" The cute coffee boy said. I smiled as I walked over to the counter to see my coffee. "Have a nice day! And thank you for shopping at The Jasmine Dragon!" He said. "You too!" I waved and I turned around ready to walk away, when I stopped and remembered I still have to get a job. "Hey, are you guys hiring?" I asked.  "U-uh yes?" 'Hes cute when he stutters, Wait did I say cute?? I mean I'm not lying.. KATARA SHUT UP'

(Zuko's POV)
"Hey are you guys hiring?" the brown haired girl asked. "U-uh yes?" 'WHY AM I STUTTERING, IVE NEVER BLUSHED BEFORE' He noticed Katara zoned out and gave her a confused look. "O-Oh im sorry, are you guys accepting applications?" "We are, you can talk to my uncle about the job he mostly is the one hiring," I said nervously rubbing my neck. She gave me a bright smile, "Oh,Can I speak to hi-" She was cut off my my uncle almost shouting "YOU HAVE THE JOB"

We both looked at him shocked but her face was replaced by happiness. "Then I guess I'll be your worker now, Names Katara but I think you already know that" she said rolling her eyes playfully. "Then I guess you'll be my partner, and also by this name tag my name is Zuko" I smiled

"Well then, when do I start?"
