Sonic Layed unconscious in a hospital bed. It had been hours since they found him, and he still woudn't wake up. "He should wake up, the blow dart was none lethal!" Espio called out. However, he was lied to. That Dart...that dart was made to Kill.

"Espio, if that Dart is really nonlethal, how do you know that? It could have been labeled wrong just to make everyone feel better."

Tails said. Amy hesitatantly nodded in agreement. "Tails is right. The last thing Sonic told us before passing out again was that the train is a badnik. If that's so, taking out Sonic would be a huge victory. Besides, he only seems to be getting worse."

Soon, No evidence was needed anymore and the doctor walked in with some news. "We ran some tests, and the fluid injection in his body is slowly killing him by dissolving his blood cells. "

Everyone's faces went from determined to help, to feeling helpless. Then, suddenly, His eyes fluttered open. The doctor nodded and left the room, giving the crew a look, trying to communicate that he may not survive.

Barry's Pov: my hands, they shook, and my mind, it raced with guilt. I could never forgive myself, ever... should I tell them I knew Sonic was actually hurt? I just didn't know how to bring it up, I-! Well, one things for sure. A change will happen...I'm never gonna let anyone suffer, ever again!
When Sonic woke up, a streak of hope ran through me, as If the sun had risen to light up the portion of me that needed relief. Even though this was probably the last of him, I'd be able to apologize...just in time. I walked up to his bed where Tails was looking both sad and angry.
"S-Sonic-! I'm so sorry...I should have said something." He just chuckled softly, then put a hand on my shoulder. "Dont Blame yourself so much... life is too short for that." He said, in a reassuring tone.

Tails pov: "Tails, Buddy..." Sonic said, in a worrying tone, as I tried to keep it together. "Sonic?" My voice cracked a little as I said this. He just smiled and said, "Im sure there are unlimited running tracks in the sky for a Hasty guy like me. As for you, keep believing in yourself." I could feel the room spinning, slightly.
Was...he actually going to die? Right here? Right now?
"Sonic, stop talking like that! Get some rest, and I'm sure-" before I could finish, my speech was interrupted by the sound of Monitors beeping. He was gone.
