Readers POV

The next morning I woke up all cuddled up against my lover. Last night was beautiful. I didn't even expect such a intimate ending but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I got her happy again, we all made her happy for that night and it was so worth it. The only thing spooking in my mind was the fact that we had a spy in here. I wonder what could've happened if we didn't catch him.

I turn to my side, my back facing Loreen as I look out the window, her arms still wrapped around me meanwhile my hand was playing with her fingers. I just got lost in my own thoughts for this moment. I had a bad feeling about today, especially when I looked out the window looking at the sky. It was bright blue, actually a happy colour but my stomach was still twisting. I definitely felt something.

„What's wrong my love?" Loreen said with a soft voice and I knew I couldn't hide my feelings since she would sense the truth anyways, making me turn to face her again, my arms now wrapped around her neck. „Nothing. I just don't trust today for some reason..." I told her and she seemed to be worries as well after what happened yesterday before we both disappeared into heaven for a few minutes. „Well...I am glad no one else got harmed but if there was one...there must be more." She didn't really help my own negative thoughts in this moment, making them get even worse and she noticed so she wanted to distract me with some sweet kisses and it worked, I had to chuckle again, feeling like my worries disappeared just in seconds when her lips touched mine.

Later we knew we had to leave and look for the others, we had no idea how the party ended yesterday so it would be good if we took a look after we both got dressed. Today we chose to wear something more comfortable, my headache was enough to make me choose today was not going to be a very glamorous day and I bet Loreen felt the same.

When we went out of our chambers we saw some of the staff still cleaning up some things but the whole hall looked already so cleaned. I am thankful for this wonderful team, if I had to clean this up I would rather jump out the window.

I frowned once I saw Kaarija and Bojan together with La Zarra, they looked serious, as if they were searching for something, making us walk towards them. „What's up?" I tell them and they turn to look at us with a serious face. „Something is off. I can smell human. La Zarra told us about yesterday's spy, it's not his blood though." Kaarija said and this explained my weird feelings this morning, I am not a wolf nor a vampire but I could feel there was something wrong.

„Really? Where?" I asked it as if being stupid, if they knew they wouldn't stand there so lost.

„Wait where did Loreen go?" Bojan mentioned and we all looked around, she really wasn't there anymore. She did stand here beside me seconds ago where did that woman go?!

We saw her talking to a person not far away from us. How did she trust someone we never saw here before? „He doesn't smell human...I think they found a way to fool us." Bojan mentioned and La Zarra rolled her eyes at his words. „Stop being paranoid Bojan..."

„No! He is right look!" Kaarija said and around the corner we saw the tip of a gun pointing directly at Loreen. My mind stopped working for a moment as I started to run towards her, yelling her name to try to get her attention but just in time when I reached to be directly in front of her, the man pulled the trigger and the bullet just hit right through my chest and I fell into Loreen's arms.

„Fuck! You got the wrong!" The man that was talking to Loreen a few seconds ago shouted to the other and her expression changed into a very mad one, now really turning into the beast humans call them all the time but she couldn't let go of me in this moment. Kaarija and Bojan turned into wolves, the rest of the guards joining but the huge wolves were faster as they chased the two humans and literally ripped their limbs apart as they attacked them with a lot of anger. La Zarra just standing there in shock as she still stared at me and Loreen.

I couldn't properly breathe in that moment, feeling like my chest was going to explode any second and Loreen noticed something bad just happened as she went down on her knees, still holding me in her arms as she turned me so she could look where the bullet hit me. When she saw it hit right through my chest and I lost a lot of blood already, her eyes widened but all she could do in this moment was being angry at me and I couldn't blame her. „What did you do?! That damn bullet should have hit me! Not you!" I heard her yell at me but I just looked at her with half lidded eyes and a little smile on my face before I answer her weakly. „Of course I wanted to save my love..." I just said and I could hear her crying as she pressed her hand on my wound, wanting to stop the bleeding. „Stupid..."

„We need Alessandra! Where is she?!" La Zarra said and ran away to search for Alessandra and she found her but once Alessandra saw what happened she couldn't stop crying hard at the view of me being so hurt. „God...my dear sister..." Alessandra couldn't stop crying, knowing her powers could heal wounds but not bringing the dead back to life.

„I-...I can't..." She mumbled and La Zarra snapped in this moment yelling now at her. „What do you mean?!" Alessandra couldn't hold herself up on her feet anymore and also fell down on her knees, hiding her face in her hands as she kept on crying. „S-She lost too much blood I can't heal her anymore...this is impossible!"

The whole room went silent except the soft crying sounds, Loreen still holding me tight. I only had one wish left as I reached up to caress her cheek. „Loreen...I am so happy you survived...the people here need their alpha...but please...would you do me a favour?" I ask her with all my strength and she looked at me with red puffy eyes, sniffing before she just nod her head at me.
„Could I...hear you sing Tattoo for one last time?..." I ask and she held her tears back from falling, of course not wanting to say no to my last wish so she did. She needed to focus a lot not to cry.

Her voice sounded to calming and beautiful. I just loved her singing voice, giving me a lot of peace and happiness even though I am in a lot of pain in this moment, she managed to make me feel good and forget about it as I listened to her singing my favourite song of her.
Once she was finished, she leaned down to place one last kiss on my lips and I smiled in response. „I love you (Y/N)..."

To be continued
