Karishma took a deep breath as she was feeling very light now. A smile crept up her lips as she tore the page, scrambled it, and threw it on the dustbin. Haseena made her way inside the room in her PJs. Her wet hair was on her back and the smell of freshly bathed Haseena was spreading across the room making Karishma gap at her with an open mouth.
"Aap bhi fresh n up ho jaaiye, Karishma Singh," Haseena said as she came near her, helping her to get up.
"Aap thik hain na maddam sir?" Karishma questioned. She was looking way too calm or was just pretending it.
"Ji, kyun?" Haseena questioned back.
"Nahi, kuch nahi" Karishma shook her head and walked inside the bathroom.Haseena sighed and cleaned the leftovers of Karishma. There was a time when this act of Karishma used to enrage her but now she finds it cute. It's not always necessary to keep the room neat and clean. Sometimes, mess in beautiful too. She sat on the bed closing her eyes, extremely tired, confirmed to sleep for the rest of the day. But Karishma is always on her mind whether she is busy or free. She can't get rid of thoughts about her. Although she likes thinking about her but sometimes when reality hits her, it hurts too.
Karishma is a never ending loop, she is stucked in.
Their first meeting was not a fairytale one. When Haseena was transferred to MPT, Karishma was least happy. She even accidently spilled the hot tea on her which Haseena hadn't yet figured out if that was a plan or just another clumsiness of her SI. But whatever it was, it angered Haseena and from that day onwards they started the regular arguments like a couple over little things. Be it case related or for the welfare of thana. Forget about keeping a friendship with her, Haseena never wanted to see her as her face resembles the worst looking animals to her.
But the drama changed everything. And here Haseena is— in love with the same person she used to feel a strong hatred for.
"Arre yeh toh so gayin" Karishma said throwing the towel unconsciously on the bed, again. Although the next moment she realized that she should not do that, but she let it be. She likes irritating Haseena over small things because she makes cute, annoyed faces. It had been totally a festive season for her, keeping her senior as her servant and watching her getting irritated every time she orders her. Those days were Amazing! She will miss those days if she has to leave. She will miss her cute- annoyed faces, she will miss their banter, she will miss the care and concern and she will miss HASEENA.
She walked to her and sat near her. Carressing her cheeks with her thumb, she was gazing at her face. She smiled at the fact that how much she'd missed Haseena that night. Her head automatically bends to Haseena's face and she kissed her forehead. Upon realizing that Haseena didn't move, she rested her head against Haseena's. The tips of their noses were touching each other.
"I think-- I don't hate you" she mumbled. Haseena's breathes were fanning her face and she liked being in that proximity for some time. After a while, she tucked her nicely with the blanket and closed the curtains of the window to avoid any disturbance in her maddam sir's sleep. Next, she entered into the blanket and lied beside Haseena-- as close as she could. It felt like someone has given sleeping pills to Haseena as she was in a very deep slumber. Until she wasn't sleepy she started to play with Haseena's hair, gazing at her lovingly.
KOALA! that's what she used to call Haseena. She chuckled as she thought about that.
"Koala cute hota hai vaise," She tried to reason it but then change her statement. "Lekin hum aapko cute nahi bole hain. Aap behad wahiyad dikhti hain, aur dikhti rahengi! Aur yeh jo aapka saaf safai ka keeda hai na, ise hum bahar nikaal ke rahenge"Haseena turned to the other side, facing her back towards Karishma. The latter placed her arm on her waist and then her legs on her thighs. She too started feeling sleepy upon getting comfortable inside the blanket, cuddling with Haseena.
