Thundering clouds threaten a small town with heavy rain fall within the next few minutes while a young homeless man wanders the streets aimlessly. His body bloodied, battered and bruised with no true recollection of how he received them and no memories who he is or even was. The young man desperate for food mindlessly holds his hands out to passers-by hoping in vain for someone or anyone to help him in some form but many avoid him or just stare in disgust, he looks around hoping for a familiar sign of home but he's been wandering these streets for weeks but still he feels nothing, nothing except for the pain all over his body and the pain of his stomach. His clothes tattered from the days sleeping outside or he surmises the beating he received and yet he could not understand who did this to him or even why. His face wet and muddy from sleeping in alleyways and an unshaven face that makes him look much older than he truly is. As the raindrops begin to fall, he looks up at the gray clouded sky pleadingly with all this pain all this not knowing who he is and no one to help him all he truly wants is to die and give up this life but as he is about ready to lay down on the wet sidewalk, a porch light flashes on. Shelter for the night he thought to himself and in some sense feeling a little relief. The roof of the porch promising a good enough shelter from the rain and just out of the corner of his eye he noticed a cardboard box next to a trash can from another house. After grabbing the box to be his makeshift bed he heads to the dry porch that first flashed it's light for him and slowly climbs the steps but even though it was only just a couple steps he suddenly felt very dizzy perhaps lack of food or pain from the bruises had finally over came him but somehow he managed to turn the cardboard box into a bed and lays down on top of it. Staring at the porch light that beckoned him is this where I am going to die ? he wonders but but before he could think anything more a fragment of a memory appears to him a woman smiling at him, her eyes lighting up with love as he's discussing something he loved, something he was passionate about and all of a sudden another fragmented memory appears it changes to her face being un remorseful as he caught her doing something wrong but before he could contemplate if he was hallucinating or remembering, the dizziness came back with a vengeance and before he could think about anything else his vision fades to black.
